I think in India, narcissism is very common and widespread in families, and people learn these tactics from each other. I think especially women when they marry into narcissistic families and have to face enmeshed son and mother.
Yes, it may seem like it - but not evey selfish immature person in a relationship is a narcissist. Also it maybe lack of maturity on the other side in not knowing how to navigate a relationship. Too much content on narcissism makes it easy for people to label every difficult relationship or their own difficulties in making relationships as narcissism. That;s why I have created a FREE Download "15 traits of narcissistic/toxic people" to help one identify the traits. Download here: bit.ly/hsjumpstart
Just listen and take notes if it helps. On a side note, I am just learning that my wife of 38 years is a narcissistic person. My son is the one who informed me of this. And so now I have to learn how to handle and deal with her because even at the beginning of our marriage, she would not listen to my input or advice and simply dismiss it as you don’t know what you’re talking about or it’s a lie. It has become frustrating from time to time over the years that I get super angry with her for not letting me finish my sentences and her cutting in while I’m talking, which is very Inconsiderate and inappropriate. I also suffered greatly under an older sibling who is a combination of narcissistic , Sociopathic, kleptomaniac, and was verbally abusive to me. After our mother passed away 12 years ago, he told all of us family members off. I wish I had better information about his condition while growing up, even though he was being sent to a counselor by my parents from an early age. During the times he was verbally abusive to me, I reacted passively. But I’m doing so he made me feel worthless. I’m thankful that there are therapists who spend their careers helping people get through the emotional abuse that a sibling or apparent 10 Trinder a family member .

I can't believe this doesn't have more likes. Thankfully I checked out of my relationship with one, but boy she sure screwed over the guy she married.
I am happy you are safe! Yes they can ruin people's lives and some take many years to understand what is happening to them.
I don't have such a wife.
But find the world full of them.
I'm glad you don't brother, but it is literally terrifying how many of them are out there.
Absolutely and it's nice you recognize that and are grateful for your blessings.
@@1976smb agree, got such colleagues, so I know.
