Very informative. Thank you Dr Dave.
I'm gonna try it!
I have hammer toes, so could this be used to make a form that holds my toes out straight? I have used silicon under my toes to hold them out, but it caused athlete's foot, so silicon is no good for me! Any help would be good. Bob in the UK
I'm looking for a breathable material option. I bought silicone spacers on Amazon and cut them down to one spacer to put between my big toe and 2nd toe. But it creates moisture, the skin can't breathe, and we all know that's a recipe for fungus.
The silicone inbetween the toes shouldn't come over the nail, or you could create more pressure on the side of the nail which can then create an ingrown toenail
Can u you use them while walking and wearing shoes?
Yes you can. In fact that is when they are really helpful.
@@frugalfoot4973so they do not fall off when walking barefooted?
what happened with small piece of putty?
right...I was wondering the same thing lol
He used it to test when the main piece had set
This stuff gets hard, right? It's not a soft gel once it's cured?
I want something like this to make a custom soft gel toe spacer.
Yes. Once cured it should be hard.
Use crafting silicone. It will require something to hold the toes apart while it sets though

Crafting silicone may be cheaper
$125 for a jar on Amazon. Hardly Frugal.....
Cheaper than surgery.
