I just picked up 4 2024 Topps Update Super boxes for 20.00 a piece. I’m not sure if that’s a trend or a coincidence at Walmart. They’re loaded 2 golden mirrors, 1 camo, and 2 relics to 75
I'm shocked by some of these sets' quality issues. I saw a video of the new Bowman's Best recently where 1/4 of the cards were horribly off center. Some of them were so miscut they had parts of other cards attached. Then again, I've bought clothes from Fanatics so I shouldn't be surprised.
I got 3 Blasters of this in the mail today. It's wasn't all that bad. I was surprised to not get any variants but I did get an on-card numbered auto (Alec Marsh /50) so it's not impossible I guess to get some stuff out of it. 3 Blasters is a small sample size though.
Tough rip. I got 2 blasters just for the hell of it. Pulled a Ryan Howard "Own the Game" auto. Not a monster, but certainly better than a 35 year old rookie pitcher.
I love the look of this year’s Archives, but stay as far away as possible from the retail side. I bought 8 blasters and not a single numbered card. I bought 8 more and only got two numbered cards. For the price you’re much better off with Stadium Club, A&G, or a Topps flagship release
@@westernnycards yeah. For the 1961 version the 5924- Hobby Distributor 1:8,599 for the 5990-Fat Pack 1:7,660 and 5991-Fat Pack 1:8,235. I'm not sure what the difference is between the 2 Fat Pack numbers. But yep slightly better odds out of Fat Packs.
Did 10 fat packs just now. No Skenes base, no Elly base. Best rookies were Merrill and Caminero. A Caminero and a Chourio insert each and a Shohei insert, but no numbered cards, no Yammamoto or anything. I'll double check for variations, but, more excited for the 2025 I ordered today, Hobby and Blaster combo and 2 Megas. On the fence about adding a Jumbo to guarantee an auto. Oh, I also did not like the feel of these Archives cards, they feel cheaper than 2024 Heritage, and I really like the feel of 2022 and 23 Heritage, so they can do the old feel better. They seem to choose not to do so. Also, terrible collation again, out of 160 cards, I probably had at least 15 doubles.
I saw a video on how much series 1 they are printing, and it's through the roof. It's going to be everywhere, and it's going to be a lot. Plus the pull rates are going to be much more difficult. 2025 is another junk wax era. On a positive note 2026 Topps will have the rights for all 4 major sports. Can't wait for some Topps chrome football
I would disagree on calling anything of this era the junk wax era. The junk wax area was junk because there were no parallels or serial numbered cards, or really anything of substance to pull

Seems most of the cards are offset in this set. The same player on 3 different cards are off center the exact same way. Those machines need to be recalibrated. Really only Allen and Ginter did a decent job this year with quality control.

The only way you got a 40$-60$ superbox if it was a mistake. Walmart doesn't sell them for that low. Do you got a receipt?
At 11:42 in the video the Aaron Judge is missing the Yankees on the 70 set. Cool yellow foils too. Can’t wait for the full case.
Yankees is on there it’s just super super hard to see because the writing is white on a white background

i grabbed two fact packs at target this am and pulled a Merrill yellow, a Skenes base RC, and a horribly off center Elly RC.

Somebody dropped the ball big time on quality control how could they have Let all these damaged cards get out the door .
They don’t care sometimes, they just want your money, it’s getting crazy expensive for hobby and certain blasters and megas are getting pricey
