3:15 That's a fortuner, basically an SUV variant of the Hilux with a 1GR V6. Closest equivalent in the US would be the 4runner. 5:03 This is the beloved Nissan Patrol and yes it has a V8.
The channel you reacted to is called in English translation “Bahrah Pioneers”. Bahrah which is a small town just outside Jeddah. And the people who make these videos they always hold small activities and events every weekend on Friday just like the one you reacted to. And on some occasions they go to other places other than Bahrah dunes. And you’re always welcome any time here.❤️
Actually it's common for off-roaders in Saudi Arabia to swap their stock engines with lexus's V8 engines, that's way sometime you hear a V8 sound from a car that usually equipped with a V6.
I just went to one of the popular spots here in the Qatif area last weekend and by comparison, the one in the video is tiny. Hundreds of people go out there and bash up those dunes in everything from old Nissan cars to RB26 swapped Jimnys and turbod patrols. It’s a good time for sure
IWrocker hey man, I crashed my car off-roading but fixed it now still got a couple of things to do then I will post a video online to show the accident and how it got fixed. Btw check your Instagram sent you something a while ago while fixing the car.
hey bro, I just watched your video. I like it. For the cars that you are not familiar with are: Nissan Patrol from the 1990s and 2000s models with 3 doors or 5 doors. Those are like the hot-rods in the US. they keep restoring them. For the Toyota, it is body on frame type called Fortuner (old and new models in the video) based on hi-lux pickup. they are light with the same 3.5 l engine of the highlander and 4runner, they are made in Singapore for the Asian market. Some of these cars are custom engines mainly stock ones but turbo charged. to climb sand, you need to deflate 40% your tires and use light weight truck
You and all are welcome there . In UAE we hold yearly festival for off roads in hardest known dune in the region it called moreeb. The main event is drag race to climb moreeb dune which is 300meter high with 50 degree slope there is many categories for car and bikes
Hahaha, you said that place was an off-roading Mecca, but little did you know it’s actually thirty minutes away from the real Mecca! It’s a place called Bahra and it’s located between Jeddah and Mecca.

At 5:07 that is what we call A Nissan Patrol its equivalent to the Nissan Armada in the U.S keep in mind half if not more of these cars are swapped with different engines or extremely built
Most of the trucks are modified and tuned with LS1s and V8s especially the Nissan’s and old version wranglers and Cherokees too! Btw most of KSA’s regions have off-road places. And you are most welcome to visit and get off-roading 😍
@@muhannadalatawi Thanks 🙌🏻, but I'm pretty sure he meant "Mecca" - As it's used in English. It's the city, but often used to mean something just a little different. Like the place people want to go to be at the center of something. You can say a place is the "Mecca of car racing" or the "Mecca of shopping" meaning that it is the center of, or the main place for it. He's talking about the huge dune and how he wants to go - Starting at 6:12 he's saying the location is the center of Off-Roading. He's not specifically talking about the cars or "giant machines" when he says it 👍🏼
Offroading in Saudi Arabia and in the United States are similar in many ways and different in others.. both need torque to get the grip.. in both you don’t need the wheels to go too fast because you want the grip rather than the speed. In the US offroading is mostly Mud and Rock climbing.. in Muding and Rock Climbing you’d want to have bigger tires.. in the sand you need the torque in low RPM ranges because when you rev it high you might get stuck.. Any way if you ever think of coming here to Saudi Arabia, you’re welcome.. “Consider it”
5:02 its in old model Nissan Patrol, we basically view it as a Supra, because most people here in the middle east tune the shit outta of it, so its a famous sleeper here, believe it or not but they modify it to the level that it compete with super cars, there’s an episode in top gear actually where an Old model nissan patrol won a race against a 918 spider Search it on youtube ( Patrol vs 918)

Dear IWrocker off-roading is very popular in Saudi Arabia especially during the winter and spring, nearly everyone goes to the desert as soon as it starts raining and the weather becomes nice. nowadays a lot of western visit Saudi Arabia during the winter to enjoy the desert and the off-roading experience and I believe you should do so, it's a lot of fun and a different experience. the market for mid-size SUVs between the USA and Saudi Arabia is almost the same, however, the market for large SUVs is way better in Saudi Arabia since the gas prices are reasonable and allow people to own large SUVs without worrying too much about gas, and this is why you tend to see more large SUVs models in Saudi Arabia that you don't see in the US. I'm originally from Saudi Arabia but I lived in California for a couple of years, and the off-roading in California is no way similar to the one in Saudi, it's way more fun here in Saudi Arabia, you should come with your friends and family and enjoy the experience once all COVID 19 goes away.
Usually we swapped the XJ’s and JK’s engines with LS engines, and the golden car that you didn’t recognized is Nissan Patrol and those get swapped too (it’s something about V8 that we loved here🤣🤣)
