It wasn’t the developers fault. It was the company behind it. The developers got moved to a different game and no one was working on it anymore. Then they shut it down
Not exactly. Like Redy said, Blocksworld’s fate was not determined by the developers. The developers don’t make the choices on what they work on, the company board does. My guess is since people started leaving the game, do to drama, the company saw that the game’s community was going to be obsolete. Server space savings is very important, since it cost money to operate a server. They don’t want to spend money renting a server for a dead game. So, they decided to not update the game, or do anything for the game, helping the community to die off, so BW would have a slow peaceful end. Then they could use their servers for other things.
just like steam and tf2 tf2 is just so big, the community is struggling to keep the game alive unlike blocksworld i stopped playing right before they shut down and just realized it did from this, im really sad

i will miss this game so much, i have been playing ever since it released. over the years i've been playing this game, my building skills has gotten better, i can build nicely detailed cars now, a few days ago, i decided to go download blocksworld again (i built everything on my old phone, but i got a new phone) i get this message saying the servers are down for maintenence, i was quite happy at first cause i honestly thought the game was finally gonna be updated, but nope, i did research and found out the game has been shutdown. this honestly broke my heart since i've spent time on this game, and now it's shut down. i will never forget the memories i had with blocksworld, i honestly hope they bring the game back soon and updated.

It’s such a shame truly. I found the game in the summer of 2015 when I was watching an AD on another game (I think it was called hovercraft or something IDK) Anyways, I loved Blocksworld. I could honestly TRY to build anything. Yeah no. Not build anything, but I felt like I could LOL. The game had so much potential. So many great people. But the developers didn’t see that. Eventually, as I got older, and as did many Blocksworld veterans, I started drifting away from the game. I had some huge projects that I started to forget, and came to terms with the fact that a series I started was just a bit too much work to continue with. I couldn’t finish it, and I accepted that. As a veteran that has played blocksworld since 2014 - early 2020 I can pretty much say that this is a blessing that I have experienced the once perfect building game that could of out ranked other building games out there but sadly linden labs decided to trash it to oblivion and rip the living soul it had left, Blocksworld is m childhood and I will always remember the days of me building warships, Armored vehicles and also massive spaceships and making friends that had the same interests and ideas that wants us to wish that we will conquer the what’s hot section, but dreams like that were temporary and yet we never seen our fantasies come true. I can pretty much say that Blocksworld has taught me a lot of things about a video games life span and it’s cause of failure and also a lot of skills I have learnt in designing certain builds

I finally had good wifi, until now, I thought everything wasn't loading because maybe it included really really good wifi, but after searching some blocksworld tutorials, I randomly saw this, everything didn't want to show up, the games, the model shop, the block shop, and everything, all what I could do is just play my builds. Im just... kinda sad, heres something I wanna say, I know I said, "I left the door opened, to closed." but heres something. Its like Linden Lab just opened the door, and after a few years, the door has closed because of the strong wind, the door was full of blocksworld scripts. I'll always miss this game....

All the worlds being published were by people new to the game, not understanding the amazing things that had happened before their joining. Most of those new players wouldn’t have the chance to play on there long.

I joined back in 2014, it was fun, you could build literally anything you wanted, but people started to build tanks and militaries, and soon after, it became a war zone for toxic players. I had my own army, mostly everyone did, but I never Declared “war” on anyone just for a laugh. People declared war on me. I also had this touring car series. It got pretty popular, with people asking to be in it. It grew to like 6 members.. well, it had a good run until now, it shutting down was inevitable, as it stopped getting updates in 2017. toxic players weren’t banned, nothing happened, Linden labs went silent. then, the game finally shut down without me noticing until now. I wanted to revisit old memories, but now, we can’t..

I’d love to see some sort of reboot in the future
it’s pretty sad honestly i wanted to revisit my childhood memories from this game and play the old games in it and maybe try new ones then that error screen popped up i researched a little bit and was very upset i spent a lot of time on that game the best blocky world game i played even i get bored on roblox haven’t played it in weeks it was very sad to see this game get deleted if only i played it before it got shut down.
I started playing in 2014 I believe... I used to make shorts and pixel arts. I knew it was dying but I had no idea they were actually going to shut it down... my heart aches cause of the nostalgia. Rest In Peace Blocksworld

i used to be popular there, but since my ipad broke i never had my acc back, the sad fact was that many famous people left from the game, and blocksworld was abandoned and dead.

I always used to build over-detailed, unnecessarily fast cars that broke the sound barrier.

I joined back in 2014, it was fun, you could build literally anything you wanted, but people started to build tanks and militaries, and soon after, it became a war zone for toxic players. I had my own army, mostly everyone did, but I never Declared “war” on anyone just for a laugh. People declared war on me.
I also had this touring car series. It got pretty popular, with people asking to be in it. It grew to like 6 members..
well, it had a good run until now, it shutting down was inevitable, as it stopped getting updates in 2017. toxic players weren’t banned, nothing happened, Linden labs went silent.
then, the game finally shut down without me noticing until now. I wanted to revisit old memories, but now, we can’t..
The memories are coming back...... it’s sad, I’ve remembered the games I made, and one of mines became so popular, RIP Blocksworld 2013-2020 ( 2020 bad )
