True that is the most challenging part of the trail....at 20 yrs of age..fun...at 40yrs + it's something broken. We did this on XC race bikes...our AM bikes can handle the mentioned section with aplomb. See you out there. Cheers
The Camera is waterproof and basically bomb proof as far as I'm concerned. Was originally purchased for SUP and Surfing. They have kits for MTB, Motorsports etc....A strong waterproof clam shell housing with a very compact 3mega pixel cam which uses a 2G SD Card for memory. easy to download to almost computing device. get one, it;ll work for your dirt bike. Only Caveat, the lens area holds water/mud when you splash around in that medium doesn't shed it without the need for a direct wipe. Cheers
@PlanA311 We are a bunch of surfbums playing on some short travel XC race bikes when the waves are crap. That top section is an acquired taste and warrants some youth, higher risk, some armour if it all goes wrong and longer travel bikes (which we have too). BTW, some hikers have put that trail back on the Ranger hit list, and the cops have awaited some at the end near the parking lot, so heads up. BTW there is a newer single track getting grooved in which may be right up your alley. PM me
All have some soundtrack over-layed except one. Bear Creek Trail done 2 months ago has some fade through of the mic on the camera. Check you speaker and you-tube playback settings. Good Luck. Cheers
My camera came with a helmet mount and I did pop for the frame/seat post mounts. Frankly the frame/seat post mounts suck! They don't have a good clamping radius for different sized tubes, the mounting bolts extends into areas where they can snag and when you put some of the extensions on the mounts, the camera will easily move out of position on rough trails and the vibration can't be limited in the images.
@PlanA311 There has been controversy over "bootlegged" and non-maintained "social" trails in Briones and other parks. I've interfaced with Briones mgmt and they've been sympathetic to MTBers and the Park's attitude was if they ban one user they ban them all. So it's still at the whim of whose on duty that day. As per her email to me a few years back "Park District Ord. 38 sec 409.8 specifically prohibits bicycles on any trails less than 8 feet wide unless signed and posted." Poaching? ;-)

True..with the right bike it's a blast..but not really well captured via these cams for steepness and mortality risk. Cheers
