American Basin Jeep Adventure 2024 Part 2

This is the second of 2 parts for my recent jeeping trip with my sister Bri to the American Basin. It turned out to be more of an adventure than we had initially planned it to be. A 4 to 6 hour trip on somewhat mild off roading turned to a 10 hour plus trip that ended up on one of the hardest roads of this area of the mountain roads called the Lower Engineer Pass Road. Our folks may have called the sheriff in concern at the end of the day... ;-p
But it was all worth it for seeing the American Basin, one of the most known wildflower valleys in the San Juan Mountain Range area. It was also worth it for the amount of time I got to spend with my sister and a reminder for how well we can work together in stressful situations.
Part 2 is mainly video and photos of us arriving, exploring and leaving American Basin for our trip back home. I didn't end up filming the Lower Engineer Pass Road time because we were running out of daylight, on the most technical road of the trip (expert level road ;-p) and I needed to help navigate Bri through that section. Additionally, we were focused on helping a couple with a broken down jeep get to a better, passable spot on the road, and getting down before the sun set. We did eventually find the sheriff at the bottom of Lower Engineer Pass, so it really wasn't a good time to film at that point. Our folks did end up getting concerned something had happened so were waiting for us at the Sheriff's Office once we did get down.
