My dad is a retired millwright. We had 5 tool boxes full of extremely large tools for a long time. He worked with pumps so it was a lot of balance tools large gear pullers and large adjustable wrenches. I've got a 24" blue point myself. Great tool!
Rigid make some great almost unbreakable tools. I used to work on grounds maintenance machines and I was using a similar wrench with a tube and one of the managers who was a bit of an elfin safe tea type moaned about the pipe, so I drilled a hole in the pipe about where the lanyard/hanging hole is in the wrench handle stuck a bolt through it and he couldn't complain any more, a one piece tool with a handle that couldn't slip off.
I use this tool in the refrigeration field. You wont eat up the brass fittings on your water actuators and it works great on rotalock fittings for scroll compressors.
I’m currently trying to find an E-110 in my area!!! Honestly Jeremy,I didn’t even know that type of wrench existed!! Looking at it in your video... I could have used this type of tool a 100 times ago!! Thanks for putting it out there!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You can order one from Home Depot and have it shipped to store, also Reed Mfg.'s 02111 is the same thing and can be found at some contractor-centric plumbing supply shops.
I used to be a millwright at cement plants. Big tools are fun to look at but not so much fun to use when to have to pick them up and move them constantly. Work smarter not harder.
Years back I bought a set for smaller nuts that is the same style that you like. I can't remember where I got it,(probably Canadian Tire.) I never paid much attention to them until my tools got scattered in different places but when I started using them they were a very good design and as long as you could fit it around the nut you could turn it. I think they came in three sizes to accommodate some pretty standard vehicle and home size nuts. I seem to have said nut a lot in this post. Nut, nut, nut. Liked and subscribed . nut....
Wow! I've been watching your videos for awhile now, I had no idea you are a millwright. I'm a 30 year union millwright and spent almost half of that doin airport conveyor.
Hey every guy needs one or two maybe even three adjustable wrenches and a couple of pipe wrenches like your angled pipe wrench your showing for sure!!! If you have a entire drawer for adjustable wrenches YOU DON’T OWN ENOUGH OF THE PROPER WRENCHES, PERIOD!
hahaha, I hear you! I have wrenches up to 1 1/2" including the full set of snap-on 4-way offests, but I just couldn't justify the cost of buying more wrenches bigger than 1 1/2" Even the guys were I worked that had EVERY wrench would use their adjustables all the time because we did so much with hydraulic fittings and it's way to much to lug around a test stand to be able to take all the hoses off for dead-head testing and stuff. I agree, it's far better to have the right wrench, but this just worked better for our set up. 👍
What kind of bandsaw blade do you use and where do you get it, I’m trying to get a start into knife making but can’t find the right blade for my 80 inch bandsaw. I may resort to a hacksaw do you think this is a good idea?
I just ordered a 48 inch pipe wrench it’s called Ironton I got a great deal on it it was only $60.00 so I couldn’t turn it down because a 48 inch Ridged pipe wrench is very expensive it’s between $300.00 and $400.00 and I can’t afford that.
Wow a thousand like! You are a god send! I started working in drilling and I just know there is better tool to do the job. And I can't find any real info anywere! I wish I had a boss like you did! Can we get in contact via mail or something so I can ask a few question more precise about my need? I do geotechnical in qc Canada btw.
"It's not a crescent wrench!" :-) Well if you go to South Africa you will also be told: "It's not an adjustable wrench!" Over there it is called a "shifting spanner". Much better that way, lol.
Adjustable wrenches are known as Crescent Hammers in the US Navy. Reason being that they slip off the nut so often and you get mad and start hitting things with the ^*&^* thing.
@@theravn141 Well, as a one-time employee, I'm surprised anyone at HD has taken the initiative and not stuck to the plan of mainly selling Husky and DeWalt garbage.
I’ve always known spud wrenches to be an adjustable wrench with a tapered end for lining up holes. Once never heard anyone refer to the E-110 as a spud wrench before.
Not sure about Canada, but in the U.S., it's not illegal, but companies don't want their brand to become the catch-all name because then they'll lose their brand uniqueness and lose the copyright. Think Kleenex, Band-Aid, etc.
If you was asking about using the pipe for a extension of the handle it's illegal from a safety stand point. Puts extra stress on the tool that is wasn't designed for and could cause it fail and cause a person to be injured. But it's something about everyone has done, just don't let the safety inspector catch you doing it. :)
I think because they could slip off when you're cranking on them. Pretty much any modification to a tool or using it in a way that is not specified by the manufacturer is technically "illegal" with worker's safety and all that jazz. 👍
Nope. Sorry. You're wrong about the adjustable wrench. Just like we all say give me a Kleenex instead of a facial tissue or we say Google it instead of doing an internet search the brand name took the place of the adjustable wrench. It will always be Crescent wrench now.
I never call em crescent wrenches, always call em adjustables. BUT I do refer to all tongue & groove pliers as channellocks, and all locking pliers as vise grips.
I just started in the oil industry and i saw that king of tool in amazon and i needed more info!
Thank you
Definitely buying the rigid!
Awesome video I’m a plumber by trade and love seeing fellow tool lover.

Clearly a man who loves his tools!
Oh for sure👍
Im a service plumbing apprentice and we use these a lot for commercial toilets and urinals.
Love the Tool Time Tuesday... has one of the best tool box tours on RUclips.
Real tips real tools real life experience real video great job my man keep it up
Great video! I’m a suspension guy and this looks like the perfect tool for me...

orijimi thanks!!!🙏
Amazon has them for $30...
Err well that is the E-110 9 inch version. Not sure what version he has in video.
I’ve had a pair of E110 for years…..great for large hydraulic fittings

You call that a wrench? Slowly "whips out" (errr... out of your back pocket or left pant leg?) the 30 inch Blue-Point and says - Now this is a wrench!
hahahaha! Yeah!!!! 👍
Official name of the tool is offset hex wrench, mine gets used mostly for sloan valves.
It is referred to as a union wrench and also an offset wrench. I have several sizes and they are my go to wrench, as well.
Right on. Offset wrench, that makes sense. Cheers👍
The Knipex Pliers Wrench XL is my preferred union wrench.

That wrench is awesome. Call me a rebel. Use the pipe trick often. Great tip and great to see some tool time Tuesday!
Thanks Eric! Much appreciated. And yup, I love a good snipe myself😆
I’ve used one as a millwright also very handy

Cool wrench
Why am I surprised that using a wrench with a cheater pipe is illegal in Canada.
Hahaha! I know right 😆👍
Was my Dad's favorite, too...
Nice side trip! Enjoyed the photo of that huge fracking engine. Hope they don't demonitize this comment for foul language. ..😃
Is that a hex wrench right for hexagonal nuts. Correct if I’m wrong. Thanks
Urinal wrench for flushometers any plumber who does commercial has one
Great video, Milwaukee also makes Steel Offset Hex Pipe Wrench part # 48-22-7171.

I now have adjustable wrench envy! Aaaah!
Man, if this gets at you, don't let yourself see the MCC MWW-92 I've got.

They do come in handy and cheaters do save your butt lots of times. Next week do we get to see your collection of striking wrenches.
You got that right buddy👍 I don't have any striking wrenches. That was a shop-tool that the company supplied. 👍
Love your videos btw!
Would have liked to see the tool in action but is still a great video!
That theres a offset hex wrench. Plumbers tool. ;)
Called a spud wrench. Used for finishing
Nope. A spud wrench has a long taper on the handle used for aligning holes when assembling large steel structures.
Is that standard home store metal gas pipe?
Holy 30 inch adjustable
NOW that's a BIG NUT BUSTER...
God I love tools!!

On Amazon it's called an" Offset Hex Wrench". R
it's End Pipe Wrench or Offset Hex Wrench

It’s called a 45° spud wrench
Nope, it’s not.
I used to have a coworker who called it him gum wrench. You know, no teeth.
Did I miss something big? New shop?
Jarod Morris Haha, he moved into his new house about 6 months ago.
I haven't missed 6 months of his videos. When did he move into the shop from the steel container thing?
Jarod Morris Umm about 6 months ago, I don't know what to tell ya.
Jarod Morris Actually I just looked back, it's closer to 8 or 9 months ago. 👍
Wow. I can't believe I've not noticed. LOL That's horrible attention to detail.
The title has a typo btw
Thanks buddy! Just fixed it! 🙏👍
👍👍👍
Lowes and home depot and harbor tool amd freight has them
Harbor freight doesn't. And those other stores it's online-only.
@@orijimi in my stores they do carry them in store.not all stores are created equal or carry the same stock

@@orijimi they do sell other brands like ridgid which makes the same style of wrench
Jeremy you must have some big nuts to contend with lol!!! Great stuff brother these tool time Tuesdays!!!
That is an offset spud wrench.

Spud wrench
Wait, why is that illegal to do?

I use I pipe for leverage 🤓
I wanna meet, face to face, with the people who "dislike" videos in youtube.
what a peace of s@$#% a person needs to be to dislike a video.
