I honestly don't like the movie that much(due to Sunset's rushed character arc) but the way everybody sings "I'm going up and winning the audition" it feels like a broadway musical
@@annastarlightI'm likely not the most accurate on this because it's been ages since I've fully watched any part of the show or movies, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't just a few days. From what I remember, the first movie when Sunset was a villain, Twilight was in the crystal empire for a reason I can't remember, though I do remember it was somewhat shortly after Twilight gets her wings and a bit before the tree of harmony and weird brambles episode where the mane 6 had to give up the elements of harmony. The original movie was during the fall season for the human world because of the fall formal. Rainbow Rocks, Twilight has her castle, around an entire season of the tv show later. I don't recall the movie showing the evidence of the seasons, but timeline wise I'd guess very late fall or early winter months. There's enough room for a few weeks to a full month for Sunset to think about her actions and realize the impact she had on everyone around her before Rainbow Rocks starts, based on what I remember.
