Yes, nothing wrong on a particular cruise to go inside and save the $. We booked inside on a new ship due to 7 ports of call - intense - we lucked out and got a balcony upgrade though - was nice to have - but inside been ok on that one. Thanks Princess 😀 - & Ty 4 your view in it !
Hey Shawn, what a fantastic upgrade - just goes to show that it CAN happen if you try - well done on that one! Thanks a lot for watching - always great to see your name pop up!
When I cruise solo, there’s just no way I can justify the expense of a nice cabin. Guarantee inside is fine, though I will splurge to pick my exact cabin if it’s not too much more.
Thanks Fraser really useful info, was surprised by the space in the room it didn't seem cramped as I'd have thought. Totally agree the bathroom oops shower room looks like a 70's throwback. Personally I'd still go go for a balcony.
Thank you for this video. I would probably be going alone and think the cabin and cruise seemed good value for money. Of course the air fare from the UK would be an extra cost. Will look at your next video to find out more. Thank you for this one.
Thanks, Hazel! Really good value for money - totally agree! There’s lots of content from this cruise on my channel if you’d like to see more of the experience - just head to my Carnival section. Thanks!!
Great tour! The bathroom is very travelodge looking. We don’t mind the shower curtain, in this bathroom design it creates a bit more room around the toilet for the taller and fluffier cruiser.
Hi fraser I love inside cabins I cruise solo and wish they didn’t charge double or more for solo passengers,I’m looking forward to my cruise in august around the uk on carnival legend it leaves from Dover which is near to where I live.great to see your vlogs 😻
Oh, that’ll be an amazing cruise - I’m jealous of that one! Totally agree that the double fare shouldn’t be happening - hopefully we’ll get a fair deal as solo’s one day! Thanks so much for watching and supporting my channel, Christine!
Nice room tour and information. I don’t know about my being able to cruise solo, but I’d probably pick a larger room. Our first cruise was Cunard in a balcony room, and our 3rd is coming up in December on Virgin in a Rockstar suite. I’ve been watching your Virgin videos too!
Hey, thanks so much for watching - hope you’re enjoying my channel! You’d be surprised at how little time you’d spend in there, but if you’re used to Rockstar cruising (wow!), I totally get your thoughts. That’s going to be sooooo good!
I know nothing about this ship but when I saw the cabin and bathroom, I thought it was probably built in the 70s or 80s! Still, I hope you enjoyed your cruise.
Great video. I’ve never considered Carnival before but that cabin does look absolutely fine. The bathroom however is a disappointment. I hate shower curtains and that would be a deal breaker for me. Yes call me precious but I hate them. It’s actually the reason I’ve never sailed Princess. (I think the newer ships may not have them). Glad I found your channel, great work.
Thanks, Alan - welcome onboard to my channel! I do understand your hatred of a shower curtain - I hate them sticking to me when the ship’s moving and I’m trying to shower, ha! Thanks again!
@@FraserAtSea I stayed on the QE2 in Dubai about a month ago after watching your video on the flight over. That was an interesting experience. Thanks again.
I've usually cruised with a balcony, but really only found myself using it first thing in the morning and the last thing in the evening...a nice to have, but really only find myself in the cabin for sleeping and cleaning up. I'd say that one is doing fairly well at anything around $150 per night when you consider all that it included on a cruise...just a simple night at a hotel is getting quite ridiculous and some Airbnb's charge almost that for a cleaning fee!
I’m the same, always cruised with a balcony but realising I actually don’t use it much at all, as you say it’s a “nice to have” feature. I’ve decided to book an inside cabin for my next cruise. Very hesitant but slowly being convinced. The money saved is worth it.
Nice video. Please though, when you quote the size of the ship, please mention the Gross Tonnage rather than the length. Most cruise ships are 960-1100ft long. So length is not a barometer of a large ship. The GT measure though is the best way for viewers to compare one ship to another. Incidentally the Horizon is 133,596GT. Which is considered a mid-size ship these days. Thank you. 🚢
I’m a solo cruiser but that cabin is dreary and old looking. Like something from the 1970’s. Zero effort given to make a nice looking space. That would bother me plus too many families with rowdy kids on Carnival. Thanks for the tour though….now I know what doesn’t interest me.
You know, it's funny you say this. The colours in the bathroom REALLY surprised me - I think they made the ship feel much older than it was! Thanks for watching, and thanks for taking the time to comment, Leeann!

Yeah, I’d tend to agree - if my supplement is high for travelling solo, I can’t really be paying extra for a better room - it just isn’t worth it in most cases. Thanks for watching!!

Thanks Fraser! We are yet to try Carnival but great info as ever. Hope you are good! 👍👋

Thanks so much for watching - all good here - hope you guys are good too!
Nice tour, thanks Fraser! Good price! Older ships can have great deals. The prices now on new ones are ridiculously high! 🙁
Oh, I completely agree - so much money can be saved by avoiding the glam of a new ship! Thanks for watching!!

Great video! 😃 We love an inside cabin, we're hardly in there anyway!
Oh, I totally agree - thanks so much for watching!

Thanks for watching guys! I’d probably agree - I was surprised the bathroom wasn’t more modern given the age of the ship!

Hey, thanks for the feedback - will think about this in future videos. Have a good day, and thanks for watching!
You right, no need to spend money on facilities that you are not going to use. Every penny counts.
Totally agree - if I spend less on the cabin, I can cruise more - an easy one in mind mind! Thanks for watching!

The blue and yellow in the bathroom is hideous. It will date badly.

Saw the curtain, lost interest. Penny pinching at its worst.
Ha, I haaaaate a shower curtain 😩 Thanks for watching!!
