There was a technical section and Cobra Kai fielded more entries so they got more points from the runnerups in the tournaments than Miyagi Do or Eagle Fang did since they entered separately which is why Miyagi Do had to win both finals and Cobra Kai only needed one to get the overall trophy
The way Sam used both modern and traditional styles together was definitely the best advice ever given, plus using the Yamazuki. Tori was definitely awesome with her Tang-Soo-Do, making it aggressive and always striking forwards
This fight was "fixed" by Terry Silver, that is why the referee called it "no point", when it clearly was. The tournament had three parts, not just two, Boys, Girls and actions, the actions included breaking boards, using weapons etc... Eli missed one board, that's why Cobra kai won, one fight each plus actions... (sorry for using "actions", it had a name that slipped my mind.)
There was a gentlemen's agreement prior to the tournament: whichever dojo won the overall tournament, the other side had to disband. Cobra Kai won overall, so the Miyagi-Do/Eagle Fang alliance had to disband.
If you saw Kickboxer 2 I would love your reaction for two of the fights- Tong-Po vs. Brian Wagner and Tong-Po vs. David Sloane. Both are awesome matches with one of them less awesome result in an understatement.
Cobra Kai won the overall tournament because even though Miyagi-Do won the boy’s tourney there were things leading up to this that gave Cobra Kai a big lead in points. Miyagi-Do had to win both tournaments to get the overall win.
You think her Kata was ridiculous you should look back at the Kata that Daniel did in KKIII Just do all the fights from the series, then you don't have to go back to them later.
8:42 I forget the explanation, but they actually did explain that on the show when Daniel and Johnny were talking with their students the new changes in the tournament.
Started in Shotokan and Kyokushin karate (did them for about 10 years) and now I teach Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (training Muay Thai for about 10 years and BJJ for 8)
I'm not sure what tournaments you've done, but most I've done, there are points given for all levels/brackets, so Cobra Kai could have been ahead on lower bracket points, Miyagi Do took the lead by winning boys, but winning girls put Cobra Kai back ahead. Rememeber, in the boys final, they even said 'it puts Miyagi Do in the overall lead'. BTW - if you want to look at something 'classic' and a little corny... Have you ever seen one of the Billy Jack movies? I believe they used Hopkido and the choreography was by Bong Soo Han. ruclips.net/video/vdvz1RM2678/видео.html ruclips.net/video/-IEblkFG2Uw/видео.html
Would girls who go into a karate tournament actually look all dolled up like Barbie dolls? The one girl actually looked plastic. But hey, they would kick my butt anyday! lol Some Jason Bourne fight scenes would be waaaay cool. :)
A lot of people don’t know that karate, original Okinawa karate, actually has a lot grappling and takedowns. The Japanese took out that bit because they already had judo and jujutsu when they conquered Okinawa

Season 4 really showed a change in Kreese that no one was expecting
@Jake Collins yeah u ain't wrong
Terry Silver paid off the ref. That's why he called no point when Sam hit Torrey before she went out of bounds.

Wow great fight from the ladies. Thank U , really enjoyed it.😀🙂❤
I love this show
Season 1 to 4 had your 80s - 90s type fight scenes but season 5 is a lot darker and more intense and slightly more realistic
You 100% NEED to react to some of the Mortal kombat 11 fight cutscenes, the choreographing in some of them are crazy
Man I’m gonna have to watch this show. I love this!

👍👏 my dad, son & I love to watch this show & great breakdown
cobra kai won because there where previous weapons and skills exhibitions that counted to win the tournament prize, and cobra kai won most of those
Captain America winter solider fightssss

Another banger! Side note; not sure if you're aware, but there's a bit of sound lag on this upload.
Thank you for the heads up! Trying new software out, will keep working at it
More cobra Kai videos defoooo
Oh, if you are not far in the series you are in for a surprise once you finish this episode.
8:42

Accident Man 2. Mike Fallon vs Oyumi
I don’t understand that elbow rule considering in season one hawk flying elbow someone, homie had a running start
8:53 cobra kai were ahead on points from the earlier fights so miyagi do needed to win both finals to take the win
Defo a highlight of season 4
hey great reaction and commentary by the way. Please give us your reaction to Chozen vs Cobra Kai Senseis fight it's worth it !
I second this! Chozen in season 5 was great.
Oh I thought he already looked at that
i woould definitely recommend the new movie accident man 2 hitmans holiday. interesting but great fight scenes!
id say they should of had a match with a sensei from each school to decide the overall winning school as it was 50/50 .. would of been sweet to see
It wasn't 50/50 Cobra Kai won the skills competition as well
@@riley7792 good point ..forgot about that ..still ..would of been sweet though
What all martial arts do you do??
Started in Shotokan and Kyokushin karate (did them for about 10 years) and now I teach Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (training Muay Thai for about 10 years and BJJ for 8)

The first couple episodes were pretty bad, but the clips I've seen of later seasons look interesting. May have to revisit this show

Too bad that Thomas Ian Griffith was relegated to broker Ameri-do-te.
He was great in his young years. Watch "Excessive Force".

Some Jason Bourne fight scenes would be waaaay cool. :)
In a earlier part of the tournament there was a technique section which Cobra Kai won. So it’s really 2-1 Cobra Kai.
I thought this was karate not bjj weird

man this guy yapping in the middle with his sickening voice ruins everything
