Not obviously. Someone asked the cruise director if there was any cases and he said yes. That there will always be cases now. He wouldn’t say how many. We talked to one lady who said her husband had it and was confined to the room. I think she was supposed to wear a mask I think. She was getting food to take to the room. There were 2 evacuations. One just before leaving Curaçao and another we turned around 3 hours out of curaçao and went back to take them off. They did not say the reason for taking them off. I saw both get in the ambulance. Both went off the ship in a wheelchair. Didn’t look that old. It was a very old crowd on the ship. I think there were only like 7 kids. At 60 and 66 my wife and I felt young. We did not get the jab and wouldn’t sign up for a cruise until the Covid BS went away. There was a requirement to take a Covid test before the cruise but it was an honor thing no proof required. I think this was driven by the stop in Columbia. No one ever asked us about a test or vax or anything Covid related. We did a cruise on the same ship a week before everything shut down for Covid and this was the first cruise since then. For the most part everything was Like Covid never happened. A few folks still wore masks but very few. Many people in the sunset of life and looking to enjoy what they have left to the max without fear. Refreshing to see.
Was COVID an issue on the ship?
