On this episode of the #GuitarStoreTour I’m in La Plata, Maryland at the legendary Island Music Company where I made one of my first truly viral guitar store videos. To pay homage to such a special and historic landmark in my life, I decided to whip out the best stage moves popularized by music legends over the decades. Make sure to follow me on Twitter to see where the #GuitarStoreTour will stop next, and tune into my RUclips channel for new episodes every Wednesday. 50 States. 50 Guitar Stores. 50 Weeks.
Great video. As far as Island Music Company is concerned if you're in Maryland and you like guitars this is a place you have to stop by. Great people and great guitars.
Wow/ow! Did you break any bones or tubes? Oh, the humanity! I once slipped on the stairs with my bass and thought I broke both my bass and my hip, but somehow I broke neither. Rock on.
One time I missed the last step of the stairs in my house while carrying my 2x12 cab, but there was a clothes rack that stopped me from falling and destroying everything (myself and the cab)
Ayy you hit the mark on all of these my man! Although the Duck Walk could have made an entrance here, but great video nevertheless. The windmill is actually what I was waiting for haha!
Nobody windmills quite like Pete Townshend used to do, usually followed by destroying his guitar and amps, then followed by Kieth Moon destroying his drum kit, and then followed by A HUGE BILL for replacement equipment before the next gig! 😱
My band does *all* of these moves! Sometimes I bang my fist on the bass like Rob Trujillo of Metallica. Sometimes we pick above the nut or below the bridge like Kurt Cobain, RIP. Great video! Rock on! \\m//
Yes! He is mentally galloping a machine gun across audience members that aren't singing along with Bruce (To Steves own lyrics, Like he himself is) :^)
I love metldown with spinning body and..Stance with spinning hand..Just Legendary knows who's using that ''MOVE STAGE''.✌🙂😊✌🏹 #salam #meynArrow #from #Malaysia
Considering i just saw Generation Axe last week this is perfect lol. I saw almost all of these done. Zack is the king of playing behind his head and we all know Malmsteen does the rest
Honestly I believe that's not really a move as much as a method to make playing with your guitar so low easier. James Hetfield does it pretty much the entire show. Just gives better access to the upper frets to stand like that when your guitar is hanging by your knees.
Hummm.... Did you really think you could get away with your fake guitar flip??? :p We demand a full body cam of that move Tyler! But great vid apart from that! I really enjoy the guitar store tour!
The number 1 rule of performing an actual guitar flip: *Don't flip a guitar you can't afford to replace.* Tons of compilations of people flipping a guitar and the thing just goes flying. Even when taking precautions like strap locks, there's always the chance of some sort of malfunction.
I think I've done the meltdown, windmill, and pick flick. Other than that, nope, I'm not good enough to do any of those moves without dropping my guitar 😵

I have a cheap squire :((((( (lefty btw)
Great video. As far as Island Music Company is concerned if you're in Maryland and you like guitars this is a place you have to stop by. Great people and great guitars.
Nice lick shirt
Music is Win you should go to Moore music in Evansville Indiana
Outtakes please! :)
-3/10 Didn't light guitar on fire.
-4 Didn't put it through the kick drum.
-6 Didn’t hit the bass player round the head
-7/10000 DIDNT ATTACK MY DRUMMER
-10/200 didn’t puncture a hole in the amp with guitar
best stage move, sit on a chair with your back to the audience the whole time.
My greatest stage move was falling down the stairs carrying my 6505+ head after our set
Rob Galley ✌😅

@@buddyclem7328 Luckily It survived. Is it bad I was more worried about the amp than myself?
@@RobGalley i was going to comment that I bet it still worked. Glad that both of you made it
Nice, rocking the *licc* shirt.
The Meltdown, otherwise known as 'The Jack Black'
who got it from angus young, who got it from curly from the three stooges
1:07 everybody who gets on a stage for the very first time
Jimi playing at monterey still is the most insane performance I’ve ever seen
Look for berkeley first show
10/10 for the L I C C shirt.
The duck walk wasn’t on here, disappointed
Neither was the Hank Marvin synchronised step thingy!
Ayy you hit the mark on all of these my man! Although the Duck Walk could have made an entrance here, but great video nevertheless. The windmill is actually what I was waiting for haha!

When the bassist finally gets back to his side of the stage
1:39 Angus young b like...

I always watch Your videos And If you Have videos Like that I Cant stop 😁 , Thanks For Entertaining Guitar players God bless Keep Shred!! 🤘🤘🤘
Missing stage diving, Angus walk, ripping your Tee and smashing your guitar. 😂
the way steve harris steps on his monitor and then points his bass guitar is really badass and one of my favorite stage move
Yes!
He is mentally galloping a machine gun across audience members that aren't singing along with Bruce
(To Steves own lyrics, Like he himself is)
:^)
All of these moves are kinda weird if there is a huge price tag hanging from the guitar neck.
So good and a nice guitar!
Well done young man!

The slow motion on the guitar flip was MAD!
GREAT VID
Nigel Tufnel: "This one still has the 'ol tagger on it." 😂😂😂😂
Each one with an added price tag flick movement! Cool!
Everyone wants to tell you what you did wrong and how to do em all right, but I think you did a great job!rock on!!!
You kill me man! Hahaha 😂
1:10 when my neigbours ask if i can turn it down a bit.
Hell yeah I always wanted see you with an ibanez
That guitar flip was siiicckkk!!
You looks like my white and ginger coloured cat. Handsome
😂😂😂
Huh?
What
This has me dead 😫😂
Considering i just saw Generation Axe last week this is perfect lol. I saw almost all of these done. Zack is the king of playing behind his head and we all know Malmsteen does the rest
I saw Zakk Wylde play with his teeth and it was amazing!!
AlienBioFreeze he sweated over me doing it behind his head and with his teeth on warpigs
Forgot the EVH jump and the Angus stomp walk, among others. Inexcusable 🤘🏻🎸
R.4tus is really good in that windmill technique 🤘
Cool guitar!
Blood and thunder at 0:25 is very much appreciated
The emotional void was close, but I think shoegazing deserved a mention since you weren't sticking strictly to "power moves."
For melt down you should have went in circles.
That's the Angus Young
Then the duck walk
Giyan Scheers ya ik
There were parts in Fall Out Boy music videos where Pete or Joe would do an amazing jump spin and strum the guitar 🎸 once they land.
Oh yeee
The "Meltdown" was funny!
Power stance move is actually a Jeff Loomis move and he does that every time with his guitar.
Honestly I believe that's not really a move as much as a method to make playing with your guitar so low easier. James Hetfield does it pretty much the entire show. Just gives better access to the upper frets to stand like that when your guitar is hanging by your knees.
And so did Johnny Ramone
0:24 the only way to stand while playing Blood and Thunder
Melt down
Really great tone for thrash metal
Jared's or Stievie's kind of video but was a true story so thumbs up LOL
That guitar is one of my favorites
Emotional void hit different 🥶🥶
Love it when janick get a from maiden goes nuts and tosses his guitar around
Can you send us a link for that guitar I want that now
OK, Emotional Void cracked me up. The meltdown was pretty awesome too. :)
Nice video
i will need those soon 😂😂😂
That flip 😂😂😂😂😂
Nice T-shirt 😉
Did all of these and many more in my 20+ year career...😄
Can you please come to Sam Ash in Richmond, VA on a Friday at 6:00 PM? I have guitar lessons then!
1:06 ok guys, I think I found the perfect one
Nice guitar man that's d metal machine.
Nice
Did you buy that jem great video keep up the good work
Finally we see tyler play an ibanez!!!
...And the LICK shirt is cool also
Nothing beats Nick Johnston’s tipping toe and Tim Henson’s "I’m just gonna look at the fret board"
BLOOD AND THUNDER FUCK YEAH
80's would have been great, if it weren't for childhood.
Hummm.... Did you really think you could get away with your fake guitar flip??? :p
We demand a full body cam of that move Tyler!
But great vid apart from that! I really enjoy the guitar store tour!

I really like the JEM!
Bonus points for the lick T-shirt
0:29
The JAMES HETFIELD! 🤘🏻
I just kinda go nuts on stage, I like doing the Angus Young head bang and duck walk
I believe the meltdown is a high level move for if i do that in a cofee shop at a lWednesday night they will probably think im having a stroke 😆
im very surprised you didnt get a PRS for this. this could be bc I live near the factory but the stores here are like 75% PRS
NICE PRS JEM wow thanks for the likes
Please, spare me. I don’t own a PRS or a jem, but it hurts just the same.
It’s IBANEZ
I was waiting to see if you would do the Angus-style epileptic fit and cap it off with a Hendrix-style guitar-burning.
RIP
aka the entire solo in Johhny B Goode from Back to the Future
Nice gem
Is this another Ad? Oh yes it is!
That windmill tho...looked like you had a cramp
Emotional void is my stage move for life
Same
hooooolyshit man~~
It's the Licc. Yes.
Powerslide!
Power Stance is the OG GOAT
Emotional void is my bread and butter
Mastodon in the power stance ✌
kmac is Win
The best are the windmilm and power stance
You forgot the playing kneeled back against the floor.
You need the blow of the smoke on your fret fingers after the pick flick
Van Halen did that pick flick before the tapping part in eruption
Not gonna lie that windmill was weakk Pete Townshend would be dissapointed
No 1 hand shredding or guitar on fire or spell casting like Jimi Hendrix or Yngwie? U cray
Nice shirt
Emotional void reminds me of Robert Fripp
im gonna do that booger flick
The meltdown is probably my favorite
I think I've done the meltdown, windmill, and pick flick. Other than that, nope, I'm not good enough to do any of those moves without dropping my guitar 😵
i saw yngwie live and i can confirm he did like 300+ kicks in a two hour show
The Guitar Flip, also known as Ballbuster
