Lauren Stevens' life is far from perfect - her mum left her family, leaving Lauren to live with her dad and brother, George, in an old run-down house, her best friend is slowly leaving her to join the popular girls and even the boy she likes barely notices her. However, Lauren is given a chance to redeem her social standing when she is 'invited' to Beth Cooper's party, THE most popular girl of the school. Of course, we all know that's not going to end well - and when Lauren realises the truth about her supposed 'best friend', she makes a wish that changes everything, as her new mirror gives her an opportunity. One that allows her to travel to the perfect world where her life is complete - it sounds amazing, doesn't it? However, everything is not what it seems: remember, total perfection doesn't exist for a reason...
