Such an amazing video! Thank you for covering this topic, cultivars finally make sense to me! For those who are wondering, cultivars get discussed and defined starting on minute 18!
I just had the opportunity of tasting both teas side by side and following along with the video. They do taste completely different, which is surprising! Thanks for this great educational content. 👍
A bit off topic regarding a cinnamon note: I've started breaking off a piece of cinnamon stick and adding it to my Forest Jam brews around the 3rd infusion, and I start bumping up the temperature on the water. It keeps that delicious leaf going for a few more infusions. Wonderful stuff.
Ah, shoulder injury. This past April I broke my right elbow and I am right-handed so I went home and had some Office Gossip Juice and brewed/poured with my left hand. I had slight practice with it already from a horizontal tasting of it and Shimmer Bliss Roady I did once but it still felt weird. These look interesting!
Fascinating re genetics, and plse confirm here are rock oolongs yes? Your arm seems to be moving more through the tea session, is the tea helping!! :-)
I'd love a side by side session with these two. Comparisons like this are good fun. Hope your arm/shoulder improves quickly, Don!

For me as someone who is just starting my tea journey it is a great help having pictures to visualize the taste etc. Nice video and get well soon!
That was a really awesome presentation of cultivars and explanation of the taste difference !

I am learning a lot with you videos. I am grateful to have found your channel. Thank you :)
I love the way the cat changes colour then goes back to normal.
Ouch, I felt that pain in the last second! May your shoulder improve quickly and your left handed tea pouring aswell 🤭
This stuff is fascinating, thank you Don!
Kudos for doing the video lefthanded 👏🏾
love the info!!!
So these are rock oolongs yes? I remember the Hastings tea tasting, sounded great then. A speedy recovery Don
Hello. Will you make a video about Kukicha?
Where do you buy your teas?

Swallows nest, now I am transported to my fable playing days
I have China Qi'men and Sri Lankan Ceylon. The first tastes and smells like chocolate and malt. The latter has strong citrus notes.
Kind of off topic, but will Mei Leaf have an Easter sale this year?

Yes both rock Oolongs
Get well soon!
So what is a cultivar??
cultivare is an indication of body sensation for me. Not so much flavour.
In Chinese tea I found cigarette. This is disgusting.
