  • If you want to know how to make a Ball Head War Club, then this video is for you. Ball headed war clubs were used by Native Americans, but they weren't the only ones who knew how to use a ball headed war club. Wooden clubs were used almost everywhere in the world, but the design of Native American war clubs was fur sure very special and this is why I had to make one by myself.

It's great to see you healthy, happy and doing your thing Robert . Your war club is very well designed like the upper northeastern Iroquois and Huron Native Americans would use . I am White Mountain Apache from out west . Stay safe and cool . All the best .

Thank you so much for your kind words. Your Native American culture is extraordinary, especially the Native American spirituality and the deep connection with your land. I am honored to meet you here, online and exchanging thoughts with you. Best regards from Slovenia.

Very nice job. Impressed that you used an axe for most of it. Nice touch with the deer hoof, gives it personality and personalizes it.

I always called these Cudgels the Gealic word is shillelagh, I remember my grandfather used to keep one by the door hanging on the wall it was fancy so you could say it was an orniment but also fit for purpose in case any undesirables came to the door.

@@TheUpsetter I saw a few videos about this kind of weapon, but I don"t feel like I have enough knowledge to talk about this topic yet. With your ancestor's story you're probably much more competent to make one and talk about it.

Great video. Like your instructions. Rather than a rasp, I'd use a Shinto rasp file. Shifts more material quicker. Used one on a knife handle lesson, now I'm off to the woods to find a suitable tree 😉

My best one was made from a hickory sapling that had grown around a rock. Not exactly a ball head, but deadly! My dog and I would belly crawl to within atlatal range of a ground hog, I would raise up, make my cast, at the same time that Buster would charge. My following would often lead to a careful blow that ended several garden raiders. Even a missed dart would not keep us from making an end to the pest, if Buster managed to grab onto it and hold it long enough for my club to come into play.
