Am finding this all so helpful. Am so delighted to have found your channel and am learning so much in a relaxed and encouraging way. Thank you 🙏🇮🇪❤️
You’re very welcome, much more content on the way 👍😎🍀
thank you so much. this is a fantastic video. I learned a lot.
💗 You should look into ASMR videos, which often instruct, but invariably relax, depending on the stimuli. In your case, your soft and gentle ramblings are immensely relaxing. You could make a channel that hypnotises people into learning to paint. 😏
Btw, very good information. And, the sounds of rustling paper, etc, are immensely satisfying to many.
Give it a thought.
Haha it’s true! I co-sign with Linda
Thanks Linda, I appreciate your insightful comments and encouragement! 👍😎 I’m happy your enjoying the painting process!

how fun..!!
I really love your videos because they are really helpful and informative to me as a beginner, but also because you sound like one of the absolute nicest human beings on the planet. I could listen to you talk all day :-) Thank you so much
Thanks so much for your kind words. I’m so happy to be here on RUclips 👍😎
Completely agree with you. Could also listen to Chris all day 😊
So nice! Make me happy to look at it 😀
Thanks Globalsoul, much more paintings on the way 👍😎
I really like your flower compositions, and I think you do them well, easy for beginners to follow.
Thanks Jessie, I appreciate it 👍😎
Thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos and for sharing your expertise. It is truly appreciated. I have always wanted to be able to paint flowers in watercolor and you make it seem possible!
Your very welcome Jane, thanks for painting with us 👍😎
Thank you so much for your lessons and your relaxing and calming voice. I appreciate your “have fun” attitude and have learned how to be a looser watercolor painter watching your videos. You paint with the heart and I am hoping to emulate you one day, instead of allowing my head to take over my brush.
Thanks for watching and the kindness! You will continue to get better all the time 👍😎
This has really encouraged me to keep trying. I’ve lost a lot of time to paint due to health issues. So going back to basics is just what I need.
Awesome Sheila,… glad you feeling better now! 👍😎
Thanks Chris ~ I have these paints, and thanks to this tutorial, realize I am using too much water. Keep up the lessons ~ they are so useful.
Thanks Rose, I will!👍😎
Chris, this tutorial is so helpful and your painting turned out beautifully! Great idea using the frame to outline your composition. Thank you.
Thanks Carolyn… I’m glad you are making good progress 👍😎
Okay, I may need to redo this lesson at least 100 more times. 🤣😂 My flowers were so off, and I took up too much of the frame with stuff. Well, it's only paper and paint. One can always learn from what we create.
These lessons have been great. Learning our strengths and places for improvement along the way, just makes us better.
I’m happy you over filled the rectangle then less! 👍😎
Superbes fleurs dans son vase,très belle aquarelle ! 😄👍❤❤
I use to repeat the same composition because it helps me to correct some mistakes. These lessons are precious to me. I do appreciate.
Thanks Marina, hope you paintings continue to get better and better 👍😎
Thank you for the great tips!!! New subscriber!!!👍👍👍
Very welcome Marvin 👍😎
Pretty! The red really makes it pop. Can't wait to give this one a go.
Hi Kate, thanks for watching 👍😎
thank you Chris.. I learned a lot and appreciate you taking the time for us beginners. I tend to get the wash part weird. I am learning how much water is enough or not enough. I see you have a Sky Wash video. I will definitely check that out. I have a tendency to go off script! haha
Thanks Robin, and absolutely yes … that is a key thing to focus on as you are learning watercolor ( the “how much water and paint ratios to use/ mix while painting” ) 👍😎
Very pretty and great instruction for us learning to keep practicing
Thanks Roxann, Happy Painting 👍😎
Your videos are so helpful. I am a watercolor beginner. Thank you
Welcome and I hope you continue to have fun and learn new things! 👍😎
Certainly going to try this. Thank u.
Thanks Donna, and your very welcome 👍😎
Hola Chris, I enjoy watching your videos! I'm a EXTREME BEGINNER LOL! Can you tell me what kind of paint you are using in this video?
Welcome Laura, Windsor Newton and Holbein brands. If you look up “ chris Petri palette “ yo can find my exact colors I use. 👍😎
@@cpetri766 thank you so much for getting back to me! Acrylic yes? Also may I ask another question...do you wet your brush before you blend the paint on the canvas? Last question for today, do you have to wait for the paint to dry before you can go on? I've watched a LOT of videos of different painting styles and I can't remember anyone telling the fans and students that you'd have to wait for the paint to dry before adding another color??
I've only been trying to learn how to paint for a month, but I've been watching a lot of different styles of painting and I'm not sure which style I prefer yet. I like fluid pouring but I don't have the talent for that style, LMBO!! I've painted some abstract (acrylic) paintings but I don't have anyone here to give me some constructive criticism on what I'm wrong, and show me "techniques of the trade" and give me some tips and tricks, LOL!! Anywho I'm sorry for rattling on! Have an amazing and blessed weekend!
🙂🌹🌻💐🦋🎨🖌
Chris, do you have a Facebook group or somewhere where we can post our art to show you our progress?? Thanks!😎
Hi Stacy, send me your paintings at chridpetri@att.net. It would be wonderful to see your Art 👍😎
