Absolutely phenomenal. I don't know but Dave music really gets to me deeply and takes my heart and mind to numerous places and things. I don't really ever tear up but I have done often with Dave and of course Red giant. First one why me 4yrs ago .I watched that song countless times and gets me every time even some of his instrumentals am tearing up .I think Dave going thru the songs explaining it all is absolutely brilliant. If there's anything right in this world and true it would be Dave and the band getting the break they so much deserve .absolutely genuis.
This song is special , achingly sad yet truly beautiful. I know the story of the song yet that feeling of desperation , that wanting out , for the demons to leave you alone....it's so relatable on so many levels.
Stripped back to acoustic simplicity the rawness of the lyrics really stand out and drip the pain that those abused always feel. Every bully should be made to wear a badge of shame.
My comment about the single release was never directed out of ignorance or even criticism towards the vocal mix sitting too far back. This is a whole new level because your vocal is so prominent. This version hits hard Dave, harder than the single and imho, where your vocal should be, front and centre. Nailed it bigtime!
I really like the electric version of the song, but the acoustic version I think takes the meaning of the song to a new level. I like the video you did of the Why walk and it is good that you recorded the song and got your story out there.
Love this Dave, its bloody brilliant. In fact, I am really loving the whole "Why" story you've taken us on since Friday, very powerful stuff. Watching the Why Walk video earlier, I found myself just wanting to be your friend whilst ypu were at school, going through all that shit. Josh was a special person 🙌
When traumatic things happen to artistic people it hits harder but can also make beautiful art like this song. You’ve been through hell brother yet still create songs like this. You’re a lot stronger than you think.👏👏👏👏👏

Overall i prefer the band version, the guitar solo at the end was just legendary. However i do like this version too it has more feeling and you can hear the lyrics more clearly. However i would have preferred if you would have done this song with just the acoustic guitar like you did the Monster song. But overall, great song and kwl acoustic version keep up the good work 👍
