This was a hard one. I spent a lot of time composing out variations, new ideas, key modulations, all scrapped to ultimately go back to the original improvisation.
I wouldn't say it was all wasted time though - I learnt a lot by trying to compose it out. But I felt that the first improvisation recording of this idea captured everything I wanted the music to say already, no more, no less. - Видеоклипы
very good, i'm a big phan
I get it
That is really nice. Simple and elegant.
Besides being a pretty little gem of sentimentality-invoking chords, I'm a big fan of the craftsmanship! For example, at 00:31 when the soprano breaks out and becomes more independent with it's own melody, you "announce" that special moment with a low Db in the bass, which is by far the lowest note we've heard so far, so it recaptures the listeners attention for the upcoming melody in the soprano
This is really good. Very simple concept and quite easily playable for a beginner. Keep composing, it’s phantastic 😅
Amazing harmonies here everything makes so much sense.
Beautiful, thanks for sharing !
Love the delicate harmonies!
Absolutely stunning! The simplicity is so amazing because it works so well! 300th subscriber 🙌
This is lovely!
❤ very much love it Victor
Better than I expected it to be.
Reminds me of Chopin. The simplicity of the piece is beautiful. Also, masterfully done key change.
You make great music! I love the harmonies in this piece
Beautiful
I really like this one
Love this!
Amazing
Simple and at a time logical piece of music
This is awesome :)
Like 376 per questo bellissimo Preludio 👏👏👏👏. Complimenti 👍
Very good harmonies Victor!😊
Bravo!
Stunning! I have followed your videos lately, and am SO impressed. Some of these are perfect for us church pianists who need something brief for service interludes, and this is great repertoire for adult piano students who need something not too demanding technically, but satisfying musically. I, too, am a phan. I hope you find a publisher (as I have.)
Very nice voice leading!
I downloaded this and played it for church last Sunday. I made a video and posted it on my channel. I have linked to your website. As a composer myself, I often click on videos such as this (mainly because their work is so mediocre) and I was bowled over. This is a piece that is beautiful to listen to, but a joy to teach as well. Balance between hands, expressive rubato to highlight the harmonic changes, not to mention that the notes are so easy to cover.
I hope you are able to sign with a publisher. if I can do it at 55, you can!
I should have clarified “videos such as this” = videos by young, unpublished, mostly student composers.
And one more thing - before someone brings this up: you have more followers and more views than me. So Imagine what would happen if you were published? Even charging on your website. Let your fans speak with their wallets. I wish you luck. Your music deserves to be heard and played.
Sorry, I can't help myself but this is phanomenal!
You just got a new fan. I really like your music and I'm a composer too. Warm greetings from Brazil!
P.S. I'll probably try this prelude on the piano 🙂
A very tender, heartfelt little melody with fine use of suspensions! A brainchild of Chopin and Rachmaninov, perhaps?
Omg this Is incredible who are you!!!!
Nice chord progression!
The lyricality reminds me of chopin, but you really have your own texture. Keep it up!
Ehi man i gotta tell keep going on composons music cause you re very talented that is really amazing. There are a lot of cool things in that are à lot simular to chopin
Parabéns
Beautiful !! Amazing harmonic modulations there. Keep it going!

Sheet music provided in the description, I'd love to hear your recording. Thanks!
I recognize your name, do you perform?
Where do you recognize my name from? I don't perform, though I wish I do!
@@victorphan_ I work at a jazz club in NY as a barback. I'm not entirely sure but I feel I've heard your name mentioned among other musicans.
@@gabeeedayyy2577 That's really cool, but it wouldn't have been me as I've never been to NY.
I would like to know what does fragile mean before the tempo mark? How can someone play fragile?
Thanks for the question, here I used fragile to mean that the music should be played delicately and with a sense of vulnerability
My guy thinks He is Chopin
Quote by Igor Stravinsky : “A good composer does not imitate; he steals.”
@@polyduckwanaland 💀
Ah, so then should nobody post their compositions because they are not Chopin? He was an absolutely brilliant composer, but no god. Listen to Chopin’s fugue in A minor. Just humans, sharing their love of art and it’s not always very easy putting it on display for the whole world.
@@wss952 he think he chopin
We all use words to communicate with each other. Does that mean that we all are stealing each-other's sentences or thoughts? In art and even otherwise, everything comes as an inspiration from the past. That is why we are sent to school to learn what has previously existed and had been created by others. By your definition, no work of art or music will ever come to life because, there is nothing authentic.
