I worked in that area from 1988 to 2004. And I really missed the place, the Malacanang Clinic, the old and original place where the first Milky Way Ice Cream Restaurant started, Daddy’s Restaurant in Arlegui, where the patatim is a best seller, St. Jude church and other old but still beautiful structures around. I was so familiar w/ those streets then, San Rafael, Arlegui, San Miguel, Mendiola, Legarda, etc. Since 1979, Hindi na ulit ako nagawi sa area na yan. Now, trying to figure out those those stuffs that I am seeing in your vlog like that Estero at the back of CEU. Parang Ibang- Iba na ang area ngayon.

Thank you for the updates in my old neighborhood. I can hardly recognize the places. Gone are the good old days. In my younger tears, when we lived in San Rafael St, I remember being able to go inside Malacanang and play on the grounds. I remember going there also in my teens. My late brother, who was born in 1947, is the godchild of President Diosdado Macapagal.

Its pong Genato Commercial factory building, ay itinatag pa nung late 1800s, gumagawa sila ng Royal Chorizo Bilbao, Royal Vienna Sausage, Royal Frankfurters, Royal Bacon, etc. Nag trabaho ako as sales representative nung 1970. Nung panahong iyon, ang factory po nila ay nasa Hipodromo, makati City na. Itong Genato Commercial building sa R.Hidalgo, ay ginawa nalang nilang "business offices" nila nung 1970. I'm curious, what happened to this historical building now. Thank po.
Diyan po sa Arlegui dati tumira si Cory at hindi sa Malacañang Palace kaya sa kanto palang noon may checkpoint na. Dati po kasi kapag pumapasok kami diyan di po ito open sa public at ang mga vehicles ay sinisita unless meron kang Malacañang clearance/sticker.
I used to eat at Legarda Mansion with take outs because it used to house the La Cocina De Tita Moning (I think she was the wife of former Press Secretary Legarda). You could also tour this mansion and see the collection of Legarda's camera's. If you inquired today, you would be given a contact number to one of the Legarda grandkids residing in Magallanes Village, Makati, where you could order La Cocina De Tita Moning's best sellers like kare-kare, paella, bagoong, and silvanas.

Thank you for walking us thru those beautiful mansions. Like I said on your other vlogs, I went to CEU from K-Gr. 3, I haven't seen that school since 1978. Back then, in my child's eyes...the streets were much bigger. Whenever we had an audio class, we used to go to the college campus for that. I heard that the smaller campus is designated for dental school now. Back then it was the CEU elementary building Kinder-Gr. 6. I remember you can see V.Mapa classrooms from our classrooms as it sat across from each other. Parang ang sikip na ng daan...but then again, that was in the 70's where few houses & fewer people lived in that area. Thanks again!

We used to live in San Rafael St, in front of V. Mapa High School. In the 50’s. I went to school at La Consolacion College until 3rd grade and we went to San Sebastian Church or San Miguel Pro Cathedral for Sunday services. There were hardly any houses in San Rafael St. I immigrated to the US in 1969 and the last time I visited San Rafael was in 2003.

Please,i’d like to see the Legarda estate in Calabash Road , Sampaloc. called “Gubat” . I remember as a child the place looked like a forest. If you can feature also the Legarda Elementary School, that would be an added bonus ! Thank you !

We used to live in San Rafael St, in front of V. Mapa High School. In the 50’s. I went to school at La Consolacion College until 3rd grade and we went to San Sebastian Church or San Miguel Pro Cathedral for Sunday services. There were hardly any houses in San Rafael St. I immigrated to the US in 1969 and the last time I visited San Rafael was in 2003.
