Gene Worm | Half-Life Resurgence

- Gene Worm is the largest and strongest creature in the Race X faction, and it's the final boss of Half-Life: Opposing Force! It has many different types of attacks including melee, range, and spawner. Defeating it takes a bit of work as it can only be damaged by damaging its core, which can only be visible when certain parts of its body are damaged! It also comes with an entrance and exit sequences (including portal)! Lastly, Gene Worm will be one of the main bosses in Half-Life Resurgence, enjoy!

Really creative to use the Half-Life 2 Combine Portal from the end of the game as the Gene Worm's portal.
Thanks! The portal itself is a custom model with custom materials & textures, another developer created it for HLR, it's almost completely custom (Including the animations)
Its fun to spawn this with the nihilant and watch how they fight

I really like the NPCs from Half-Life 2 Resurgence, they can talk to each other and they have very good tactics in battle! Can't wait for the full Steam Workshop release! (And the NPC from Half-Life 1 Resurgence has a sense of smell system!)

I missed your videos, hope you can upload more often. I really would like some version of Sven Co-op 2.0 that includes all the characteristics that you placed as those new entities and their new behaviors. Besides being able to play Garry's Mod that way including those identities.

It took me a year to realize that only part of the Gene Worm is shown because of how small the portal is. What terrifies me is that the portal is too small for it to fit in making me question how big this Gene Worm is, probably larger than the Nihilanth or a Combine Citadel.

I've always wondered, why did gear box make it look so much like the tentacle?

What weapon packs are you using other than the Half Life ones?
Mostly just CW2.0 packs
Question, are you still working on the HD version with the decay models?
I personally only work on the base pack with some contributions to other branches. The community works on rest of them

Its a CW 2.0 weapon pack, I think modern warfare weapons

Ay i’ve been having lots of fun with the addon, but i just wanted to know if it was supposed to overright the hl2 Barney, fast headcrab and barnacle (the hl2 barnicle is a guess because it crashes my game on spawn)
I don't understand the question, but I will say that fast headcrab & HL2 barnacle are not part of the base HLR pack, only Barney is.
@@VrejGaming When i spawn in the Half life 2 barney, it uses the half life 1 barney model. When i try to use the model for barney in half life 2 it has been overwritten. The fast headcrab's model has been overwritten by the half life 1 headcrab model. and the barnicle from half life 2 crashes the game. Also forgot to mention that the kingpin causes script errors and can't attack. Thanks for responding though! :D
@@_cfmca Oh I see, that's not caused by HLR, we use custom models made in house by us, you have another mod causing these issues.

What mod do you use for the hands of the avatar your using to appear with Half Life Source weapons?
I think its one of the default rebel models (he went in the mirror room in one of the showcases and thats the one it displayed)

Hi! I was just wondering if you have any plans to add a manta and or osprey snpc to the pack, I would love to see an osprey drop of hecu troops in the heat of battle as mantas bomb the surrounding areas.
