Years back my music master said this is a "Ladies' song", as it is high pitched and sung in 'madhyama kal'. This song was popularised by MS & DKP, in their own inimitable styles. Male singers of yester years generally did not sing this song in concerts. That was also perhaps the reason to be called "ladies' song". But hearing KVN singing in slow pace has broken the myth, and anyone with a good grounding and sadhakam in carnatic music - male or female - can render this song. Really a divine experience of hearing the rendering of KVN. Thanks a ton to Manikandan for uploading this piece. I'm hearing this for the first time though in RUclips.
This song so green in my memory from AIR prog in the morning. Was down with jaundice while doing PUC. Sounded diff from MSS rendition. If you want pure manodharma for any ragam you can bet on Prof KVN
@@ShriramVasudevanMusic that is understandable. That man is epitome of Vidwat and what sowkyam in his singing. Lovely and unparalleled effortless singing
I heard this yesterday, cursing myself for not having heard before. Have not been able to stop listening. What a soulful rendition. I am a staunch KVN fan and this is truly extraordinary. I have kept a target of 2 days to learn this song myself. Thanks Mani for uploading this.
KVN melts one's heart with his rendering of any song, and this one is so exceptionally beautiful. In my collection of KVN, this one is not there at all, across the years. Thank you, Manikandan Sir, for uploading this gem. Pranams.
Recently heard TMK. Compare the sowkyam of singing. People call TMK genius. If TMK is Genius, prof KVN is genius of genius. Show me one instance in this rendition break of words, loss of meaning. Prof KVN vera level. Wish I could have learnt from him. Today only Bombay Jayashri has comparable singing
Effortless singing, simple effective way of presentation, usually most of the singers singing this kruthi with so much hardwork and gets result half than this class perfomance
@@janarthananalagarsamy5549 You know less about me to call me a fool. I am a big fan of TMK. One of the finest contemporary exponent of Carnatic music. I have heard him sing in Dec 2018 concert. You listen to that and this and you will know why I am challenging him to strive for heights.

K v n.has his own style which I always Love to here 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Leisurely pace. So very enjoyable.
Shri KVN's rendition is so classy, in his own style.
Slower paced, the notes are so distinct, melodious.

Muthuswamy Dikshidhar's Kriti in Brindavana Saranga. For a variation look for MS Subbulakshmi's rendering
