    There's nothing wrong with the Fire Extinguisher he used. He only used the wrong type of Fire Extinguisher (CO2) for the wrong kind of fire. What was burning seemed to be a class A fire - Fire on solid, organic materials (...it appears he was burning pieces of paper, or leaves).... CO2 Fire Extinguishers workp by removing one of the key elements of fire - Oxygen, and as such it's best used on fires in enclosed spaces or compartments to keep it contained. When you use CO2 Extinguishers in open air fires, the atmospheric air easily dissipates the CO2 and the fire will build back.
    A good Fire Extinguisher for him to have used would have been the Dry Chemical Powder (DCP) type, which not only smothers the fire by forming a blanket over the fire and removing oxygen, but also has a cooling (Heat-removing) effect on the fire... Foam fire Extinguishers would have had a similar effect. But the cheapest and most effective type of Fire Extinguisher for the fire he had burning would've been the Water Extinguisher..... But, we learn everyday. I'm sure he's also learnt the correct use of Extinguishers from this episode...Lol.

      @@johnaboshim9881 I’m sure fire education is not taught anywhere in Nigeria...

      Tnx Christie for the enlightenment. Really, it's not a laughing matter. I was worried when I saw this video, thinking you could actually be in a fire situation not knowing that the extinguisher in your possession will not save the situation. Its sad.

      @christies Thank You. In addition, it should be noted that 'Oxygen rekindles a glowing flame'. He did the demo in an open space.

    • @kayb9057
      @kayb9057 2 года назад +1

      I don't even see anything wrong in the video. Fire extinguisher doesn't kill fire immediately. You keep spraying until it dies. Another factor is you kill fire from the root of the fire but because the fire is inside the wheelbarrow, to reach the root could be a bit difficult. Still, you continue spraying until it dies.

    It's ok to praise the Kwara state governor. My lamentation is that we still have to celebrate such things that should be taken for granted. The fact that the road could be contracted in so short a time only shows how easy it is to get those things done, if only the leaders are willing.
    As usual, the person who embezzled the money for the previously awarded contract just walked. No disciplinary measures.
