- A suite I edited together a few years back for a compilation.
James Newton Howard creates the ultimate in atmosphere for M. Night Shyamalan's flawed but interesting, fantasy/thrilled "The Village".
Howard crafts a thought provoking intimate journey into the woods and beyond with great delicacy and passion. A absolutely gorgeous solo violin is courtesy of Hilary Hahn.

The most beautiful soundtrack ever written!
There is a madness that grows with her runs/scales....that tells the tale of the movie.
Flawed movie? That movie was brilliant.

It's flawed if you expect a horror/thriller, but what we got was a great drama/suspense film. In my opinion Shyamalan's best film.

A beautiful, sad, moving and uplifting film. Shy's best in my opinion---even better than "The Sixth Sense". A narrative on love and also on the pain often endured in this life, sometimes unbearable and often inescapable. One of the better soundtracks from JNH. A terribly under rated film.
I agree with you. People prefer rapid actions, special effects scenes, sensations ... I do not understand what you need to have in your head or heart to refer to it in the form of boredom, monsters from a children's fairy tale or anything worthy of interest. This production is a multidimensional genius + great music.
