Hot take: I don't think Homelander is actually that good, he just relies on dirty tactics / meta abuse / rushing. He makes loads of basic mistakes like leaving stuff out in the open where you can see it, unloading troops way too close to the frontline and too close together and not properly using combined arms. And what the hell was the point of firing smoke at your arty? A few of those were on target before you could move, if he hadn't been firing smoke (presumably by accident) you might have lost one.
