I was really intrigued when you mentioned the tabletop version of Gloomhaven, but then you touched upon an expensive price point so I think I will just play the game instead. I didn't know this game existed! Thank you for another amazing review!!!
Thanks, GameSushi. I too always look longingly at the expensive tabletop games and (except for few Warhammer splurges) opt for the videogame incarnations. By the way, if you don't watch GameSushi's channel, you're seriously missing out! His most recent "Let's Play 3 Creepy Games" once brought a puppy back to life! After watching the Gloomhaven review seven or eight more times, head over there and subscribe!
The tabletop version runs you at about $100...So maybe a good idea to try the steam version and see if you like it...If you do...I can't recommend the tabletop version enough. Getting together with a few friends and playing it, is the best gaming experience I've ever had...There's a joke surrounding gloomhaven that you will never finish it, and that kinda feels true sometimes. We've spent more than 60 hours playing as a group and I feel like we are barely getting through it. It's fantastic!
It’s really not “inexplicably expensive”. There’s about 20 pounds of gameplay material in the box. So it’s actually fairly cheap compared to others. I am definitely going to check out this digital early access as well though! Great video!
The fact that you have to commit to cards and also to the top or bottom of both of them is really interesting! The game is still in EA so I'll wait for the full release, but I have wishlisted it.
Good insights. You should look into filtering how you pronounce "s" on your voiceover. They spike the audio with whistles and squeaks. Hard on the ears.

More coming this weekend.
I wish I had the board game. And friends. ;)
Yes it's expensive, but totally worth it imo. Especially if you consider the fact that there's at least 200+ hours of gameplay inside the box

The board game might seems expensive, but you have a lot for your money. 100 % worth it.
I don't doubt that. Some day... :)
Thanks for the insights. It looks like this is worth checking out.
If you're into the genre, it's well worth it! Thanks for watching.

Hurray for Gloomhaven!
Hurray indeed!
Very interesting! Love hearing about these games I might otherwise overlook
It's simple but so deep and fun! I think you'll like it. Thanks for watching!

If Gloomhaven had the aesthetics of Necromunda..
Damn that would be superb
Oh, man. That is such an amazing thought. I won't be able to sleep for thinking about that tonight!
Shame about the horrible graphics optimisation though.
Agreed, my friend. There's a bit to go and it is still early access. The team has focused well on polish to so far.
It's ok
1:30 wasting of my time before you get on with the review. How dare you?
“How dare you” lmfao
