One of the few good things The Big Bang Theory did was normalize the idea of not getting excited about childbirth. "Bernadette, some people are baby people and some people are not. Doesn't mean you won't love your own child." I'm glad SATC did it first, though.
Or she just is not the "yay I am getting a baby" kind of person. Beeing pregnant sucks,no matter how much you want to have a baby. And Miranda is first and foremost having a lot on her mind, that would be easier if she wasnt pregnant. She is a very busy lawyer and had not hidden her babybump without a reason ("pregnant women are to emotional for complicated work"), she will be a single mother, her own mother is already dead and her body changes in ways that are uncomfortable for her. Also she does not care what sex her child is. For her having a girl or a Boy is truly equal (also to be honest in the first few years they will look pretty much identical if you don't put them in gendered clothes and don't cut their hair). Sure she was not as enthusiatic as charlotte about having a baby, but that does not make her a bad mother or human
You’d think she would show *some* reaction to finding out the gender of her baby though. To not show any reaction whatsoever and just give a blank stare is kind of strange
