Hi David I don’t know if you will get to see this but you have helped me along with two bee club meetings take a 3 frame nuc and me being a complete green novice in early may now to a a 20 frame double deep today being July 20th, 17 frames being fully drawn and of those 17,9 of those were double sided brood . You have helped me grow confidence Helped me through A supersede situation How much to feed And not to be afraid to make mistakes And everyone really needs to understand how important it is to checker board Thank you for you time and thank you to your wife for giving up your time with her for us

Unfortunately sometimes people have verbal diarrhea and just say the dumbest things. Sherry I always love to hear your input. I also want to thank you for your encouraging words and input on homeschooling your kids. It's helped me with homeschooling my son. Also interesting to hear your opinion on bee topics. Stay positive!

I pulled off an Aug 1st split last year, but unless it's completely necessary, wouldn't do it again. Had to do lots of manipulation, like giving them drawn comb. Only had a medium super of drawn comb. It became a brood box with lots of room for a great laying queen to go to work. Fed them nonstop through fall and winter. They came out of winter strong and swarmy. Had great luck with mild winter Temps. Glad the experience was gained but it was a poor decision

that neck freezer is worth it, i worked on the top deck of a building on Tinker AFB reworking their air handlers. it was the middle of summer and the top of the building was covered in gravel. that neck cooler saved my life on more than one occasion.

We have Himalayan balsam here and it only dies at the end of October or on the 1st frost so we have copious amounts of nectar and pollen it seems we here in the northwest UK have a 2-month difference in seasons than you :)
I have one of those ice rings... unfortunately, they only last about 15 mins here in Fl...I like them but you need more than one...The neck fans last longer...just my findings..

Bees have been working the clover really hard here in New York
It's August 23rd here in upstate Pennsylvania the furthest Northeastern sector my bees are still drawing out frames putting honey pollen and brood
