I just really love Kanamori, man. When they questioned if the club was trying to earn money for their own benefit and she said yes, deep down she wants Mizusaki and Asakusa's efforts to be paid with what they deserve. Kanamori knows that the amount of passion & effort the two put is worthy of monetary benefit, not something for free. She understands the value that goes behind her friends' hard work. Especially in the current animation industry where artists are heavily undermined, it's heart-touching that there is someone like Kanamori who sees that creativity should be given the appreciation it deserves from a business perspective.
Many say Mori is a greedy money-loving capitalist but she is only fighting the poverty life give to her, so she know than hard-work and perseverance are NOT enough to realize a dream, so she use all her might to help her friends so they can realize their dreams without being stopped for the lack of money. She is not a capitalist she is a realist.
EliosMoonElios agreed, she knows how to make a buck and would probably be against capitalism since the basis of it is to privatize companies which and then the leaders of said company eagerly exploit those under their power, by making their work seem it can be paid poorly and that just anyone could do it. She realistic and knows how to work the system and these teachers are blind for not seeing her street smarts.

I fail to see why the parents would be uncomfortable with students getting involved with money outside of school. Part-time work and learning to properly manage business ventures seems more beneficial, education wise, than a detriment. Plus, I fail to see how the hell it's any of their business whether or not they're earning money.
It's a critique on how schools are run. I would've killed to learn stuff in school that actually applies to the real world as well. When it comes to the art medium especially, curriculums are centred around art as a vacuum instead of art as a career, which most of the time includes business aspect you never learn until college/university if you can afford such a money and life-sink in the first place.
I thinks its because compared to a time part job (which by the way not all schools agree with students having a job) they cant properly measure the profits from an event like the one Mori is engaging, therefore leaving her do whatever she wants without having the proper measures and information about how would she use the money is pretty risky for the inage of the school. Let's say that Mori's family is middle low class, but coincidentally after Mori's bussiness, her family raises to middle high class; the community will note it and start investigating since in Japan they have a strict code of keeping appearences, the school would be targeted and asked about how could they let a kid make profit from something sketchy under their noses. On the other hand I do recognize Mori's point of view, companies are asking for people with more and more job experience, if school would let high school students engage in this kind of business or guide into how to get ready for the career they want, it would be more profitable for everyone.
It's a cultural thing: there's plenty of schools that straight up ban part time jobs for their students, rather less student clubs engaging in open business. It's also dubious: the club is part of the school, which is part of the government. Do they even have the right to engage in private business of that sort?
I love Kanamori. Confident and opportunistic while not being afraid to step on some toes. Her back story was also perfect, I love how they depicted her "hustler" attitude a young age, but witnessing the closing of her family's shop not only taught her the value of money but also gave her a newfound respect for small and independent businesses. Simple character type but executed so well. Easily best girl of the 2020 Winter Season.
He literally does not care. He only took the position because he wanted a reason to move around more instead of sitting at home after school and getting a stiff back from all the nothing he was doing. Ironically instead he is just sitting around in his car on the campus and does nothing.
Actually since this takes place in the year 2051 and these teachers are 50 maybe 60 years at their oldest then that means they're millennials or gen z, depending on age; except the blond one, she looks younger maybe 30. Point is: WE HAVE BECOME THE VERY THING WE SWORE TO DESTROY!!
If it's a "freelance work", that would've shut down their jurisdiction right then and there. By that, the Eizouken and the Chamber of Commerce would be working independently and through the schoolboard. The only headache involved would be the resources of the Eizouken's club room.
She’s basically their manager/producer. The other two just need to do the work. Planning and negotiation are her responsibilities. This is amazing really, since other anime with similar premise about either sport, music, or art clubs does not tackle this role at all, the negotiator or the manager.
Kanamori spittin FACTS! She doesn't even look at the teachers because she knows they aren't going to say anything worth listening to. She knows the truth about money, capitolism, socialism and having connections when entering adulthood. She questions the school on why students can't earn money for their effort when it's the plainest societal truth. Work equals money. Nothing more nothing less, and she knows their trying to give her the run around about how idealistic school life should be.

The Best education i got was from the OWA (Ohio Workman's Association) in middle school. Originally it was a program meant to raise the grades of failing students by giving them part time jobs during school hours like working at McDonalds or Burger King. I only worked 2 hours of the school day but it taught me more about life then any class i ever learned from. I learned the value of work ethic, i learned how paychecks work, I learned how hard work earns cash to buy things and I learned the value of money in society. That part time job taught me more about how hard life was gonna be then any other school program.
