I was so excited that our new library is offering a seed catolog/exchange. I am so ready for planting!!! Is so rewarding to watch what you have grow! I love canning veggies and I’m getting better!
Ok this is super cool. I have never heard of a library doing this but I love it!
@@Thepinkenvelope it’s new thing! We have a young librarian and she heard about it in college! The local nurseries donate their seeds at the end of the season. Most seeds are fine for 3-5 years but the businesses I guess can sell them? Anyway she “catalogs” them in an OLD Dewey decimal cabinet. People can take 3 packets each visit and are encouraged to leave left overs or items they didn’t get to planting!! Very cool!
Gardening always reminds me of my grandparents. They always had an amazing garden in their backyard.
I would love to see more gardening related content! I also grew up gardening with my dad and grandma. I just planted a garden, my first in many years, now that my kids are old enough to learn/help. I'm excited to get back into this fabulous hobby!
Growing up my grandmother had a huge vegetable garden in our backyard. The previous home owners even left us their strawberry patch in the backyard which was such a delight.
I don't really have a gardening story but love the idea of gardening.
Colt and I just watched the video! He’s growing tomato and bell peppers right now. Right up his alley!! He just got really excited about this video. We will be subscribing.
Nice!!! He’s going to love it! Emma is planting too
I grow almost everything; I just love fresh grown veggies! 😍
Congratulations @CBar-rd6im you are the winner of the Seed Bank Box giveaway! Please email us at samantha@thepinkenvelope.com to claim your prize!
I have a personal relationship with a large doe,in my neighborhood. We have had SEVERAL discussions about her and her babies being in my gardens. Not counting the groundhogs, the skunks and raccoons. And I live in the middle of a small town. They won't give up and neither will I
What a Great concept .... let's get growing!
Yes! I love growing beans.
My grandparents always had an amazing garden. My favorite part was snapping beans with her and my brother on her front porch ❤
We live in Wyoming with a very short growing season, so we purchased a green house last year. This box may be really great to have to help us with what to grow.
That sounds like an awesome service
I love gardening. Last yearvwas the only year we didn’t have one due to the deer jumping our fence and eating everything. But we built a new very tall fence so this year is going to be epic. I also run a family child care out of our home and love having the kids help and of course eat the little prizes straight from the garden.
I have always wanted to start my own garden! This would be a nice start and motivation to do just that!! I would love to have some gardening stories to tell! Lol!
Ever heard of the infamous “Sugartown Watermelons”? If so - that is where I now live! I so have a green thumb family but not me! I am starting to love plants and now want to start something like this. My husband is even thinking about watermelons! This box is awesome! Thank you for showing us about this subscription box!!! Inspiration and motivation in a box!
Our garden is almost an acre, just getting started on it for the second year so lots of tilling, pulling weeds, etc. Our daughter’s goals are to be able to grow huge pumpkins for Halloween and strawberries for homemade jam! Love this box and the idea of a seed exchange!
I love growing peas and beans, I would love to try those beets both types.
My garden woe - I was going to clean up my herb garden area but encounter a bunny nest! Now just waiting for them to move on before I can plant more herbs this year!
I like growing watermelon and got hit with a heat wave and my watermelons died.
I also grew corn for my uncle's cows. They liked it.
I want to grow a garden with the help of my nieces ❤🌱
Pollinators in vegetable garden...have heard about that. However, what i have also read/heard about is "companion planting" to help plants thrive and keep away bugs/mosquitos/insects.
I use coffee grounds and mix in with dirt to add more nutrients to the dirt and the chicken eggshells are great to add in ur dirt.
Dont have much of green thumb but just started dipping my toes into gardening. Last year, i did a herb garden & jalapenos in pots and had a great harvest...my very first gardening win! Gardening woe - did some research last year and tried growing an avocado plant from a seed but sadly, the plant didn't survive!
Gardening story: when our dog was a puppy, we would pick peppers and cukes and put them in a basket to take in the house… she would pick stuff from the basket and place them on a pile and later eat them… picture a golden lab running around with a cuke hanging out of her mouth like a cigar 😂😂😂
(Not for giveaway) I don’t have a garden, but the whole concept is amazing. I think it’ll be so much fun to see your garden!
I want to have a garden- we are rebuilding our home after the fire and I think new house new life with a garden.
Never grown any wax beans or any kind of vegetables before. My dream is to have a vegetable garden...someday!
Gardening story: My son has started Gardening at his home. Some is "food forest" in the timber. Also just got a greenhouse recently. Would love for hto win this.
What a fun box. Picking out seeds each year at the store is always stressful and rewarding. How do they handle the shorter season in the north?
I love gardening and want to be able to start from seed instead of using plant starts. My family is trying to eat more raw and safe foods with out additives due to a lot of allergies.
Raised gardens take more water . What zone are you?
Can you choose which growing zone you’re in?
I can’t for the life of me keep any flowers, fruits, or vegetables long enough to without it dying.
I have never grown beans
This is stupid . Overpriced . And you need to be making sure youre getting the right seeds for your growing zone . We arent doing lettuce here in florida . Seeds arent one size fits all
