After doing a little digging I was able to find out we worked on TT for about 4 months (with myself, a designer and two programmers). There is a chance that what code was written for it is still out there. How much was done and if it was at all playable, I still don’t remember. (But I am looking into it!!)

Sega did make some temporary Sonic cafes to promote some of the games' releases in Japan, they also did the same with PSO2 but in a somewhat bigger scale since PSO2 is more popular than Sonic there. So yeah, a Sonic Cafe was actually a real thing in the real word.
I really wonder, how Treasure Tails and Astropede would've influenced the Sonic franchise. Maybe Tails would've been shown to having an intrest in tresure hunting in later Sonic. And god knows, what kind of role Astropede could've had in later Sonic games... (That or they'd just forget about him, like with Mighty and Ray.) My favourite obscure Sonic game is the official Shockwave port of Sonic Spinball which was done for Candystand. It was lost for a few years, but the game files had been copied to another website called Sonic CulT. Sonic CulT had gone down but briefly went back online in 2018, and the game was saved and recirculated from there. The port was handled by Skyworks (David Crane, Garry Kitchen)

When I heard about Sega Hard Girls I got extremely curious and eventually became extremely invested and hey it opened me up to information on consoles I didn't even know exist and I learned about nearly every accessory and anything that SEGA has done in the past. Everything that came out of that is just pure passion and fun.
Don't forget about the Sonic 1 Mobile phone port that was Java, I remember having it on my old Verizon flip phone. It was rather short, but its music was the original Masa Demo versions of the Sonic 1 soundtrack.

These are very obscure, and you’re completely right about the mobile Chao game! Though I’d vastly prefer the return of the Chao Garden in a core Sonic entry.
I really enjoyed Sonic Jump on my early touch Nokia Smartphone back in the day. It was a doodle jump style game, with touch pointing controls instead of gyroscope. In contrast to doodle jump it got different stages and simple boss fights. There were different versions of the game, ranging from early java feature phones to later Nokia smartphones like the N8.

Does anyone else remember getting little handheld flash games from McDonald's that were basically Sonic mini games. I think one was blue for sonic where you run in a pipe trying to get rings amd dodge spikes. One was yellow for Tails where you flew a plane. And a red one for Knuckles where you kick soccer balls into a goal. Those are the only ones I remember.

There's another Sonic X game, but it's on some educational handheld and it's shitty. It's also a reskin of another educational game... and was reskinned again.
"Sonic 16" is also part of the "Sonic Xtreme" timeline, same as "Sonic Mars".

These are very obscure, and you’re completely right about the mobile Chao game! Though I’d vastly prefer the return of the Chao Garden in a core Sonic entry.
I really enjoyed Sonic Jump on my early touch Nokia Smartphone back in the day. It was a doodle jump style game, with touch pointing controls instead of gyroscope. In contrast to doodle jump it got different stages and simple boss fights. There were different versions of the game, ranging from early java feature phones to later Nokia smartphones like the N8.
I agree, Sonic Jump was a good use of the Sonic IP on mobile

I used to play Jump Boy on my mother's phone a lot as a child. I played it before Sonic 2, so, when I got to Chemical Plant and heard the music I was in shock😅.

Does anyone else remember getting little handheld flash games from McDonald's that were basically Sonic mini games.
I think one was blue for sonic where you run in a pipe trying to get rings amd dodge spikes.
One was yellow for Tails where you flew a plane.
And a red one for Knuckles where you kick soccer balls into a goal.
Those are the only ones I remember.
