Been watching for awhile, your confidence has gotten so much better since these videos. I do like this one cuz it’s more straight forward less fluff then some new stuff lol. Still love and appreciate the vids .
Got these last week my old ones were cast and one degree stronger still have the same yardages but I am pin high so much more and I have a consistent shot shape hitting way better shots with these clubs it's almost unreal how much closer to the pin I am with these irons
i have the 2008 version of the ap1 and im getting these tomorrow so i hope i like these irons as much as everyone else. I normally shoot high 80s or low 90s, ill see how forgibing they are
@@Therealcrisisplan i have to say my 2008 version they were graphite and these are stiff shaft but they are working way better for me much more consistent and i think mor e forgiving as well
@@Therealcrisisplan I’m a mid handicap and in got Titleist ap2 714 I traded in cobra king f9 irons and it was the best decision I ever made I love the ap2 they may never leave the bag!
Ii started playing with Ping irons... Now i play AP2 712 and hit the MP59's when i was testing in searching new irons... Mizuno makes a great club, i just felt the AP2's were softer coming off the face.. Just loved the feel of them.. Hit the 6 iron 193... Moved it easily .. Just a sweet sweet club... For those of you just starting out i highly recommend looking at clubs like the AP2 and MP59 .. Dont shy away.. You dont need a friggin hammer like some of the players helpers clubs out there.. And once you hit a forged club off the sweet spot n feel how soft it is you may find it hard to go back to cast clubs... Seriously...
And now I'm a single digit handicap got them fitted with Kbs tour 110 stiff shafts can't wait to get them!! And got fitted for a 915 f 3 wood and that is my most consistent club even off the deck and so easy to hit
Hi rick im currently playing whit titleist oversize+, and i'm looking for a new iron, is ap2 my club? i have 12,4 handicap whit a good ballstriker 7 iron carry 150m.
Hey Rick! I love your videos as I am currently on the market for new irons. As a preference for my own search for a great ball flight, I like the view you showed of flight scope on this video (above and to the right almost). It gave me a very good idea of how the ball is flying subject to your angle of attack, which I would guess is around a 4-5 down? Anyhow, thanks!
Have you reviewed the Mizuno MP-4's? I play the MP-57's and really dying to know if I should buy the MP-4's! Not in my local shops yet, not sure why...
RickShielsPGAGolf Yeah, he's Mr Consistency at the moment, that's for sure. I was almost going to buy a set of these, but I ended up going with the new Callaway Apex Pro. For a forged iron, they sure are solid off the face, I absolutely love em.
Sam Hatton Hi friend, do they really have the feel off the club face that you get with a forged Mizuno iron? I hit X200's and can't imagine having to change them some day.
There is no better feeling iron than a mizuno MP iron but titleist irons are fantastic also but mizuno for me have the edge in irons but their woods are poor compared with titliest D2 or taylormade
David Turkington I can only agree, Titleist D2 woods and hybrids far outclass Mizuno, as for Taylormade, I can't comment objectively. Personally, I really like the Cobra woods and hybrids that have been produced in the last few years, I actually carry T-Rails at the moment, I really like them, they suit my game.

Is there much difference between these and the Taylormade CBs? A comparison video between these would be great.
one of the best irons ever ...
Wow... I didn't realise how old these Ap2s were until I saw a young Mr Shields. 😆😆
No Beard 🤯🤯🤯
Only 15 years

StratNut2008 yeah I'm with ping g25s and I'm def ready to move to something more intermediate and ap2s seem money to me
when are you going to do a video with Rob with these clubs?
I have a high handicap but I think the ap2 is right for me because I have a really good iron game

Are these clubs easy to move the ball around? I play off 17 an think these May make me play better???
Yes they work the golf ball very well
Youre off of 17 and you can move the ball around ?? Amazing ...
I can move the ball around too, but not normally where I intended.. :)

Can you do some testing between the Ping S55 and the Titleist AP2 714's?

Jordon Speith plays em and he's up there pretty much every week, so they must be okay lol
Yes they are great. Also Jordan Speith could use a shovel and finish top 10 each week.

Could you redo the AP2 on the new GC2?
I will do my best
I have these irons
Best irons ever bought them ball flight is unbelievable
Mizuno make the most aesthetically beautiful irons out there, always have, this AP2 really comes close and I'm a Mizuno man.
I've just swapped over from mizuno to these titleists
