Arrey these guys are running such narratives to try and stoke our sickular folk so that people start talking about why such Hindu rituals are performed. Remember a while ago some of the Bollywood actresses never wore bindis for Diwali ads. Now when the people stopped buying from the companies that ran those ads, bindis are back. Many people perform Aayudh pooja. They show respect towards the tools and the machines they use. Like at my father's office as well we performed this pooja for the machines that are used there for production purposes. At home we performed pooja for other tools that are used in our daily life. People of different professions show gratitude and respect to the tools they use that help them to earn a living and sustaing life.

This is Aayudha pooja done to show gratitude towards the weapons. In Hinduism we show gratitude towards everything that helps us to maintain our life. I absolutely love these things about Bjp. Every one do aayudh pooja Today according to their profession doctors will worship their tools. Chef will worship theirs etc. So the defence forces are also worshipping theirs.

It's a Hindu thing. Hinduism and paganism go hand in hand. We believe that God resides in everything and everyone. So worshipping our weapons is a form of showing gratitude towards the weapons for keeping us safe and providing us with divine protection.
Its traditional in Hinduism don't add any colors to it .
We do this pooja on the day of Dusshera. At homes we show gratitude towards things like Plants, Almirah, Broom, Fridge, Gas stove, Lock n keys etc. because our life will be difficult without them. RUclipsrs would be doing pooja for Camera, mike etc. people from different professions do this pooja for their tools. It's not started by Bjp it is being done from the last many centuries.

In India this goes on since ancient times and was done even during the British rule too. This does not adversely impact Secularism at all in India, chiefly because Hinduism itself is inherently secular. All army units have temples, mosques, churches and gurdwaras and even appoint priests and maualanas to help the army personnel offer worship. Your understanding in this regard is rather very very limited!
