Hello thanks for all you do for our kids ..I have a suggestion if the teachers make a short videos for their classes teaching what was at the scheduleon their regular class and share to us by email or putting on RUclips ..because we want my child see what the teacher is talking about .on a class sometimes we dont have a clue ... on that way we can reinforce what the teacher says at the video
I would hope there would a creation of some sort of live stream via RUclips , Facebook, etc.. from teachers regarding lessons. It doesn’t have to be everyday but something that reflects the curriculum. As to limit kids falling behind.
What is CFB doing for their hourly workers? A lot of the hourly workers are living pay check to pay check and they cannot afford to miss work. Dallas ISD, Fort Worth ISD, Cedar Hill ISD, and Frisco ISD have all said that they were going to pay their hourly workers through these tough times. Please continue to keep us informed, thank you!
It's easy to be a critic! I trust, as we take this journey together, that we will discover things which need to be done and find ways to improve the process. Let's give the Administrators and Teachers some breathing room to explore this new dynamic. I plan to be supportive... whatever that looks like!
There are only a couple of teachers who are taking time to share content every day for the students to follow rest of them seem to be on extended spring break.
I had a question. Several school districts, starting March 23rd, are having parents who don’t have access to internet or a way to do the online work, pick up school work at their child’s school on Monday, and having their child complete it and return it the following Monday. Is that a thing that we would be doing in the future? I know as a parent that would be something I would be interested in doing. I have 3 children 6, 7 & 9 and they all have different curriculums and we only have one laptop it would be much easier for me to do papered assignments that I could return back to the school when completed.
My son’s school district is doing far more with far less than CFBISD - calling parents to do a technology survey; providing paper packets for those who need them while busting their butts to get them the technology they need to do online classes at home; not only feeding every child in the district regardless of where they go to school, but encouraging every family to take advantage of the free meals in order to stretch what groceries they have at home given all hoarding going on ... I’m so glad this is my daughter’s last year in the CFBISD school district! Let’s be real, this video was totally unnecessary. An email would have sufficed. As someone else suggested, if you’re going to use video, at least get the teachers to do it, to further aid in teaching the students.
