Simple to install and use Smoke / CO detector. Smoke / fire and CO are alerted with a voice. There are also diagnostic chirps that occur for faults, low battery, expired, etc.

Can you use the base from an old kidde detector from 8?years ago or do you have to use the new base that comes with it? 🤔

I have interchanged bases that were already attached to the wall. It just depends on models. Give it a try.

Did you use the red plastic fasteners or just the screws?

I used one of each. The red wall anchor where there wasn't wood behind the hole. The other hole, I just used a longer screw. I will say the included plastic anchors are fragile. Make sure the hole is big enough to easily insert the anchor.

Thank you for this video, they installed in my apartment but I have no instructions. It went off suddenly so loud, no voice so I didn’t know what was going on. I figured it was a faulty beep but still was scared.

Where did you mount it? Not by the kitchen or bathroom/shower, right?
