    My wife and I live in Marshalltown,Iowa and had 112 mph winds without power for 4 days and without tv,phone and internet for 9 days.

      @tvold9204 3 года назад +1

      well actually the highest gust in marshalltown was 106mph and thats not sustained, sustained was 70-80, making the iowa derecho in iowa if it was a hurricane a cat 1 hurricane, but it was hitting people who have never experienced a hurricane or hurricane force winds before, and infastructure that wasnt built for that, that is why it was bad.
      Also i lost my house sustained wind that makes the derecho look pathetic during hurricane irma in 2017.

      @Le Tigidou You might have.
      There was a damage estimate in a small area just southwest of cedar rapids where a damage survey team concluded in that little area, a gust up to 140 may have occurred.
      Highest officially measured by anywhere in iowa from this storm was 126 in atkins, ia.
