I love your videos. The quality is excellent, and the camera work is steady and akways focuses on the interesting moments. The CB racing is great. Seeing regular cars airbags deploy, and cars get smashed but still run is awesome.
There are 2 kinds of cars in these races. The ones that were bought online for 50 bucks, had "Yeet" painted on the side and pink with a spray can, gutted and parts most likely sold, and the drivers smash into everything, and B, the cars that look like they were taken right out of someone's driveway and make it through the whole race without a scratch.
There are roll bars inside the cars and steel plates along the driver's door. And if you look along the inside wall they don't seem to be short of fire extinguishers.
This video was more like 'if you have an old car, some gaffa tape and spray paint, you can race.' Enyertaining to watch practically road legal cars be smashed to pieces!
There are some rules in regards to the amount of contact that drivers are allowed to make, for instance, rookie and back-to-basic banger races restrict the contact between drivers to ensure that the vehicles will survive through the season (suitable for drivers on a low budget. Back-to basic is much more restricted than rookie, so its pretty much an entry level race type), whilst national races allow drivers to do much more aggressive collisions like head ons or t-bones (which will lead to more destructive crashes that will require a much larger budget to last the whole season). There are also two flag colours; red, and yellow. Yellow flags are used to warn drivers to be cautious, and red flags are used to stop the race. The driver is also forbidden to leave their vehicle during 'green flags' as it is seen as the safest option, however in case of an emergency that puts the driver in danger (or it's deemed necessary to move them), a red flag may be used.
