- In this cPanel WordPress tutorial video, I show how to fix the WordPress error "there has been a critical error on this website. learn more about troubleshooting Wordpress." To solve this critical error you either need the cPanel or FTP access because during this fatal error the WordPress backend dashboard becomes inaccessible. You can use this method for any hosting platforms that use the cPanel interface such as NameCheap, Godaddy, Hostinger, Bluehost, etc.
This is a very common WordPress issue "There has been a critical error on this website." where the WordPress dashboard becomes inaccessible, the WordPress website is down. This is mainly caused by outdated themes or plugins. To solve this you need to access the WordPress directories using the hosting cPanel or FTP, rename the plugins or themes folder, then debug the issue as shown in the video.

A theme, especially an older one can break your website also. deleting the X theme was needed for us to fix our website. Then we had to do minor updates after grabbing a newer theme.

No it will be as it is after you reinstall it, unless you cleanup the database
I am getting the same error but with the Redux Framework plugin. I need this plugin to properly setup my themes.
I have tried various versions of Redux framework. However, it still crashes my website. So is there a way to resolve the issue?
Delete the plugin and reinstall an updated version of the plugin. Before you do that make sure all your other themes and plugins are up to date to avoid conflicts. Also make sure your Wordpress version and php version are also updated.

You have issue with the Brizy plugin as shown in the error. Rename the plugins folder as I have shown to deactivate the plugins. Then delete and reinstall the Brizy plugin

@@MuhammadBilal-wpcoder in this case it is best if you read what the error says, then we can easily identify the issue and try to solve it. It might be caused due to domain name changing, maybe the license was meant for domain A and not for B.

Yes of course we need to reinstall it, purchase elementor pro from their website download and install it. If you already have the license then it only takes and few seconds

You'll have to reinstall the updated version of the plugin
Thanks for the video, i was on a vps hosting, so i had to drag the affected plugin folder out of the plugin file, and also wp-conf.php, ensure to change define( 'WP_DEBUG', false ) to define( 'WP_DEBUG', true), this will help to see the plugin with the error

You need to find the problematic plugin like I showed in the video, either install a fresh version of it, or use an alternative

@@glam-jh9wz4mk7c what type of GoDaddy hosting you use? Managed wordpress hosting? Please check if they have the cpanel under advanced options. Or contact GoDaddy support and tell them you want to access the file manager.

Did renaming the plugins folder didn't help? Then try renaming the themes folder to deactivate the themes and see if it works

If there is any issue, go inside the folder and rename each theme folder one at a time and see which one solves the issue
