Thought the 4th fit was a bit weak. That amount of black and red just reminds me of being in high school and thinking I dressed well. Nice job styling in the rest of them though.
love the video! really like how all five fits were quite different from each other! the fourth fit with the orbit gear bag was probably my favorite. however, I really like the streettech fit. I sometimes really like wearing techwear fits that are dialed back a bit for daily wear with streetwear elements in them.
Thanks man, definitely agree it's good to mix things up. Depending on the situation it's not always appropriate to rock up looking fresh from Cyberpunk 2077
Have you thought of making a video on boots/sneakerboots? I'm looking at the Adidas f/1.3 LE on sale atm and was wondering if you thought something like that would work in a typical techwear fit.
some of these outfits have so much to it that I wouldn't even seem convenient. Like u lost your phone and u start undressing to search all your 127 pockets xD I'd still love it
hey Antwon! quite liked most of the fits, but something I'm wondering is why you consider matching colors in a fit to be "try-hard". I think if it's done properly it doesn't look bad at all. I'm also curious of what you actually mean by the term "try-hard". Trying too hard to be stylish? to be clever? I personally feel like some of my favourite fits are the ones where i can matches accents in a fit, like matching nailpolish to sidebag or matching color of a hat with my shoes and so on. Please let me know, I'm super curious!
It's not necessarily a bad thing imo but it has a very deliberate look about it as opposed to a more 'effortlessly cool' one. I think when it's tastefully done it's not a problem, but people can go overboard in matching their sweaters to shoes etc., particularly in streetwear. Often can look better in those cases to use complimentary colours instead rather than straight-up matching
Could you do a video of techwear that focuses mostly on the aesthetic more than the fonctionality, like that Scarlxrd video you made, also is there a name for it? I call it military/cyber techwear (depending on the styles) because of all the camo, the straps, tactical vests and etc, or the main brands like MXDVS which is heavily inspired by tactials.
Can you recommend *_mid-layer jackets?_* Cause there are not as many good *_mid-layers_* as there are *_shells._* Something like this: www.longleyinteriorsltd.co.uk/images/large/products/Mens%20Jackets%20Nike%20Aeroloft%20Bomber%20Jacket%20Black%20Nike_LRG.jpg
As I mentioned in the video my Arc'teryx Atom LT is very much my go-to when it comes to midlayer jackets, and in general I'd recommend checking them out for that sort of product. Also Patagonia and The North Face have some good midlayer jacket and fleece options, the TNF Denali being one of the most popular.
@@ThisIsAntwon well... would you agree, that your examples (and mid-layers in general) are weak in comparison to all of those shells? They are being looked over by designers and good brands alike - and are mostly poorly designed compared to all of those genius shells and convertible modular jackets. This even holds true in your analytic videos about style and function Because they are mostly about shells. Because they are better. Than those hanging dust-magnets called fleece jackets which are actually even *_embarrassing_* compared to... *_every techwear jacket_* It's awkward to wear a greatly executed jacket, taking it off whilst going inside and exposing a "dad-style" fleece underneath. Not even *_the great Errolson Hugh_* has ever made more than one decent mid-layer in every 4000 shells Although mid layers are the most important, because shells provide no insulation at all. Shells only work *_because of_* and *_thanks to_* mid layers which need to work together in modular combination Because a cotton mid-layer does provide 0 moisture transportation to the shell, which is only made of *_gore tex membrane_* to be able vaporize the moisture (that the mid-layer is transporting to it) to begin with That is the principle of all tech-wear materials. That is breathability
@@sweetfruit7769 I think you're right in that there aren't many midlayers which adopt techwear aesthetics, but in terms of functionality when their primary use is to go under something else there's a limit to what they can achieve. Something covered in pockets and straps might look cooler on its own but be uncomfortable under a shell. That said it'd be cool to see better options like the ACG bombers and inner sections from the 3 in 1 jackets
@@ThisIsAntwon best (and sadly only) good design solution by Errolson: i.pinimg.com/236x/c3/46/52/c346522e0d152df15c90ce22bb509cb8--gore-tex-hugh-obrian.jpg
I sympathize with and enjoy the less-techy-techwear aesthetic. My style is more trad and business casual but I appreciate and value the function that futuristiic/modern materials can bring while at the same time I don't want to look like a mall ninja. TBH I think an all-black-post-apocalyptic-assassin is a gauche look and inappropriate day-to-day in normal society.
First time I've ever seen this guy in actual techwear
FAXXXX😭😭
🤤just discovered techwear...

I’m a simple tech wear guy, I put like
jokes apart, always a pleasure watch your videos buddy👌🏼
Thanks man!
Techwear drug dealers should be a thing while doing parkour
I would definitely wear techwear, but nobody else at my school does and I don't feel comfortable standing out that much haha

Guerrilla Group are awesome, their tailors deserve an interview by the best TechWear reviewer, Antwon. Your modeling is epic too. 😎👍
Coming from streetwear when I started being into style and fashion a little, I am so down with monochrome streettech tbh
Great video Asthma!
*wheeze*
Nice video Antuanette the second !
Don’t worry y’all one day we will live in a post apocalyptic dystopian future
the first one with the vapormax shoes from the second outfit.
Hell yeah, fully blacked out 😎
think the strawberry cornetto jacket would look better with more tapered pants
Put pink laces in that down town af1 and wear that with the pink jacket with it
Bigggg facks

Initially was wondering about the shoes with the first look at Fit 1...TheAtom LT matches the shoes. I see what you did there....
Could you do a review on the acg anorak?? Would be cool to see what it matches with

Does anyone know if guerrilla group is the only company to make those long grid shirts? I want one but don’t feel like spending 80$+ for one
Great video Antwon. If you don't mind me saying, your skin's clear up quite a lot... tried something new?
When 1 week i was . gonna ask if you could do another 'fit' video. He's reading my mind!

Hey Antwon, i recently bought a black Superdry Jacket thats pretty fitting for Techwear! Maybe you‘ll look it up ^^
Hey, dont go with superdry, their stuff fits the aesthetic, but its its function is terrible, very little insultion and literally no waterproofing
Antwon is just a non-goblin Casey Neistat
Hey what's up this is anime weeb here
Man sell some of those jackets in the back and buy an acronym shell already 😉
Who knows maybe SS19 will be Acronym season 👀
emo techwear is peak ELITE transsexual culture.

Half the outfits look like you are about to go snowboarding 😂😂😂
Snowboarding in techwear is a great incentive not to fall over and ruin your fit
All hackers go techwear. Chris Redfield first made this look cool in Resident Evil 3.
ima about to puke bro thats not tech wear tho its normally hoodies with pockets tho xdd
