That was one of the best seasons we’ve ever had
Top 10 for sure
Clearly you didn't see when Marty was coaching us. RIP to coach!
@@Galatians516 was a wee lad then. But this is still one of the better seasons. Damn patriots both times
@@Galatians516 "one of the best" dude.
Best season I've witnessed since I was too young to remember much from the LT days even though LT was who got me into the Chargers.
I was at this game. Was laughed at during halftime, but walked out happy with Steelers fans pouring beer on me from above the tunnel on the way out…
Champagne of victory!
Stay classy Pittsburgh
Gotta love Yinzers. You can’t get enough of them.
Phillp rivers was so good miss you rivers
Hell na dude constantly made stupid decisions in crunch time
@@PandaDr12 even so, chargers organization really fucked rivers over and never got him an o-line he deserved. dude was fighting for his life in the later years of his career against rushers.
@@PandaDr12 No he didn’t, he’s an outstanding quarterback and a sure-fire hall of famer.
Rivers never won us a super bowl 🤷🏽♂️...in the other hand Big Ben and Eli Manning got it done
@@CloudVivid dielman hardwick McNeill were all pro bowlers. Philip neve got it done simple as that
I miss Phil man.
These uniforms are still the best
I agree! Im not a big fan of the new ones
I like Herbert, but there will never be another Rivers. The dude never really got his shot on this team, but he left it all out there. Great football mind, unorthodox throwing motion, and just a goofy guy who was so much much fun to root for.
Nothing prettier than a Philip Rivers comeback. He would just keep coming back. No matter what had occured, he just kept playing. He wasn't discouraged by the events on the field .
That interception by Derwin James was a factor.
Glad to have DJ back healthy again this season.
And that TD catch by Keenan Allen was badass 👽 slay.
Let’s Go Los Angeles Chargers!
Da Da Dah Da Charge!!! ⚡️🐴 🏈
Wish they showed the highlight of him knocking AB out of bounds on a deep pass he was goin crazy that game
Miss that rivers and gates combo 🥺
Always love the Rivers Gates connection!!!!
Phillip is the man. Always will be!
I will NEVER forget that Desmond King Punt return !
Cris Collinsworth: “It’s returnable.”
Probably hasn't happened since sadly!!
SAME BRO. My fav play from that season
Block in the back not called
Thank you for your service Jackson! Can't remember him doing anything else impactful since this game tbh
This year 77 yd run against the Pats, then blew his hamstring after that run lol
I remember he always has some of the highest YPC in the league every single year, dude always knows how to hit the holes lol.
He was having a great start to his 2019 season but injuries i think ended it fter about 4 games
He had so much potential. His running style reminded me of LT. I honestly still thought he was the best of the Chargers backup RBs last year but they decided to keep Kelley and Rountree. Wish him the best.
Chargers fan for almost 50 years. We will NEVER forget you Phillip. You are an all time great.
This season was a movie
This season was hype hype💙⚡⚡⚡
This was the first season I really started paying attention to the chargers. I already was a fan but I didn’t religiously watch the games until that year. So many good memories, but that divisional round game absolutely broke me
hands down one of the better chargers game ive ever seen
My first NFL game ever and I got to see my favorite team and all the legends I grew up watching, Rivers, Gates, Allen. Was such an epic comeback!
My favorite season I’ve watched SO FUN so much good. Defense was good Philip played well Melvin was great!
Loved the big comeback!
These are great memories and all but we need these kind of plays now! We have such a talented roster probably even more talented then this one. We could easily be this good if not greater!
Agreed I don't care what anyone says Lambardi isn't for us
Lombardi is a great coordinator I'm not knocking him in any way but we aren't the saints and Herbert isn't brees he's a whole different type of player who needs to be able to launch that cannon! Look at him last season vs TB he was making huge 25+ yard throws we need more of those more huge plays more play action/screen passes.
@@dakotahwelch1714 yeah your right if anything I just phrased it wrong Lombardi isn't for Hebert and the team we have to work with. We need those long ball type plays like how the Viking were exploiting us with Jefferson we need to get back to that kind of chemistry and unleash herbert
Exactly!! We do more play action we will be great!
@Dakotah Welch ... nah that defense was more talented. 2018 > 2021 all around in roster talent...
From nem Mexico I went to Pittsburgh to watch this game, my boy next to me “”Steelers fan”” “let’s go” after the Brown td and after that maaaaaannn I let the whole crowd hear it “letsssss goooooooooooo” on chargers comeback after King return. Mannnn best game ive ever been to. Goooo BOLTS
This was one of the craziest games I ever watched.
This one and the Kansas City comeback!
@@richr.7698 A…MEN….
2018 chargers was an exciting year but the best team since I've been a fan was the 2006 Chargers...
Nah 2010 was different.
That team made me a fan
This was a good year for us but knocked out again by that one guy who played in new england. What's his name again? Lol jk
W/e happened to that guy? Heard he left the team
@@RoyFizzle I think he's somewhere in Florida. Who knew?
The one and only to take us out in the playoffs , Rivers era ..
Explosive Chargers game ⛈💥🏈💥⛈
Keenan Allen and Philip river were the best combo
Remember it like it was yesterday. Let’s go San Diego Super Chargers⚡️⚡️⚡️
One of the best games in the Chargers' best season of the 2010s. Too bad it was only one good season.. Hopefully we have more in the future, not sure about this one...
Damn chargers should’ve kept Adrian Philips and King
This game was a classic
Last time I enjoyed being a chargers fan
Such a magical season
As a steelers fan, this one hurt alot. Squandered alot of opportunities to win. Just gotta live with it
how have we had so many good players all these years and still no superbowl
Great move getting rid of Adrian Phillips Tom , thanks !
and desmond King
Telescope got cheap though Phillips was a bargain for NE... So dumb how he lets talent walk...
Had such high hopes for lynn and rivers
This was such a killer comeback !
Daddy Rivers
Great timing 👌⚡🏆⚡
Can’t believe we let Philips and king go our defense could really use those two rn
Telescope is bad at keeping talent. Phillips showed us two weeks ago it was a mistake to let him go... He owned Herbert,,
As a charger's fan, we got so lucky on our first 2 tds
But we deserve it after all the bad luck
Ima a big chargers fan since I was 4 now im 13
Man this was a great game I remember when Desmond took it to the house the game was ours we never gave up that year
I was at this game. I had two or three a**hole Steeler fans screaming in my ear when Badgley missed his first two attempts at the end of the game. They wanted to fight me all because the Steelers lost... I was 17 or 18... They were grown men 😂
I been a Chargers fan since the Drew Brees days, but I really believed this 2018 team was going to get a ring. When we lost to NE, again, I was livid. It affected me probably worse than the Jets loss. It did. Because I knew it was over for Rivers and Gates. Nobody could talk to me for 2 days
1:05 the most insane uncalled false start i've ever seen, and im a chargers fan
Happens more than you think in a lot of games and sometimes refs try to make up for miscalls by calling penalties that aren’t there on the team lol. Also nice to see another fellow chargers fan bolt up ⚡️
I miss #17. Can he get the job as our oc....
Exactly what I was thinking when I heard he was gonna be on rams broadcast in 4th quarter.
Remember when the Chargers used to go for the deep ball?
I attended this game. 2nd row 50 yd line behind the Chargers bench. It was an epic game !!!
This week, on Days of Our Steelers…
These uniforms were nice
Kiss it, Ben
I was at that game!!!! WOW… Amazing! And it getting flexed to Sunday night was the cherry on top!!
Man I really thought this was our year. This game, the big time win in Arrowhead week 15, then the playoff win over the Ravens… fuckin Tom Brady.
Jackson definitely put in work. Allen too. But in the end Phillip outlasted Big Ben🫡
I just never got to see Antonio Gates play as a kid... 💧💧💧
Lol that first TD that Rivers threw Al Michaels says” everyone wants
to know how they got away with the fall start when it wasn’t even a false start they have one second on the play clock..
You are thinking about DELAY OF GAME. LOL, what a Muppet...
He moved before the ball was snapped. Do you not understand the rules.... It's so egregious.
Miss that season
I love Herbert. But something’s tells me rivers would be better with our new and improved O-line
100%
Justin Jackson is so good, wish we fed him the ball more.
Eh. And he's hurt all the time
Had conner on my fantasy team so this was the perfect game on multiple levels
Legend has it that they are still offsides
No Bosa or tillery on this weeks matchup 😢😭😭😭
This game was on my birthday and I remember going to sleep happy
I hate these recaps. It just reminds me how bad our team is today if we lose
I love the new video Bolt up man
The Chargers did what the Steelers couldn't
Was this the year we had to beat the 49ers to make the playoffs? If so, I was at Levi stadium for that game. We were down by 3 scores and Rivers had a remarkable 4th quarter comeback.
That was 2015 or 2016 I believe. We played them in 2018 too but we beat them 29-27 at home.
I think the game you are talking about is that OT winner on a kick by Novak. Wild comeback from Phil that day!!
Another all time great comeback from Phil and the boys was against the bengals in 2006
What an amazing year for us should of been the 1 seed tho and got to play Pats at home instead of frigid NE.
What could’ve been
Almost blocked the 3rd one too
that 2018 team was so fun to watch, never going to have this type of play with Staley's fraud play calling.
Effin Tom Brady man...
I miss that version of JJ lol
The Chargers name and logo was created and originated in Los Angeles with a USC L.A.Memorial Coliseum historical connection and
Tommy Walker aka”Tommy Trojan”and then owner Barron Hilton.
The Chargers name originated from the USC football games and Tommy Walker aka (Tommy Trojan) famous historical Charge chant he created
“Da Dah Dah Da“ Charge!
“Da Dah Dah Da Trojans Warriors Charge!
Tommy Walker then musician /team kicker helped inspire then owner Barron Hilton “R.I.P.” to name the Chargers football team from the famous Charge chant he created as a USC musician band member /team kicker.
When Barron Hilton attended the USC football games the previous years as a football fan at the L.A.Coliseum he would hear the Tommy Walker Charge chant.
When Tommy Walker would run out to the football field to attempt the extra point kicks as the team kicker the USC team music band would play Tommy’s Charge chant he created as the team musician and the football fans that attended the games would yell out his Charge chant
“Da Dah Dah Dah Da” Charge!
“Da Dah Dah Da “Trojan Warriors Charge!
to motivate him to score the extra point kicks.
So that’s where Barron Hilton got inspired and got the idea to name the Los Angeles Chargers football team.
The proof is in the Chargers 1960 original shield logo with the horse charging into battle.
The Charger is a horse charging into battle.
very similar to the USC Trojan Warrior with shield and sword and horse mascot charging on to the field to battle.
Hence the horse in the Chargers 1960 original shield logo.
The lightning bolt idea came from Barron Hilton liking the Air Force College football team lightning bolt logo as a College football fan.
Till this day that famous Charge chant is heard at the game’s and through out many other sporting game events.
The Los Angeles Chargers r the true original L.A. born team now back playing in the original birthplace and not too many team’s can claim that fact.
Rams were born in Cleveland 1936 and
Raiders were born in Oakland 1960
And that’s a fact these other teams can’t ever claim.
And also the Chargers r the true Southern California NFL team because they have never left Southern California unlike
the Cleveland/ST.Louis Rams and
the Oakland/Las Vegas Nevada Raiders.
Let’s Go Los Angeles Chargers
The true original L.A. born team now back playing in the original birthplace L.A.
Da Da Dah Dah Da Charge!!! ⚡️🐴 🏈
Born in L.A. in 1960 and played their first season ever in Chargers history at the L.A.memorial Coliseum finishing the season with a 10-4 record.
Da Da Dah Dah Da Charge!!! …⚡️🐴 🏈
Why is Davis still on the chargers. He still the PI machine like always and can never turn his head to defend a pass
Great, we’re resorting to playing highlights from years ago because our current team is not making the playoffs.
This almost happened in reverse on Sunday night.
Don't expect this to happen on Sunday lol, also thank god refs didn't catch Sam Tevi with that false start before that bomb to Benjamin or they forsure would have lost. Also it was kind of funny to see them give up two rushing TD's in the first quarter...some things never change I guess. Chargers are so mediocre it's sad. Bolt up!
Keenan was wrecking shit
I've predicted every single charger win and loss right this year⚡ no joke my gut told me the W against Chiefs, browns, raiders, and even the L against cowboys, Ravens, pats and even this one, crazy 😦
Okay what’s happening Sunday?
@@kylegrunert22 you don't wanna know my man
Herbert is having a terrible 3 outta last 4 games.... If he doesnt turn it around against PITT the people who called him a reach will be out there again. Dont let us down Herbert!
Poor Felipe he deserved to play on a good organization
Nice season & a NICE win , too . Don't think we ARE getting either this year ! Should lose this week end with OUR NEWER QB hands tied up , I think ? Big Ben should be back , with one pissed off team & oh, yea around 80 % Steelers fan at the game, too ?
7 wins coming
2018 was successful because of depth.
Wr: check. Allen, tyrell, Williams, benji in this order. “Sorry but mike will is best a WR 3”.
RB: check. Gordon, eckler
Te: check. Gates, green.
2020-2021. Same ol Tom, cheap and weak product on the field.
2018 was the last and best of both SD and LA CHARGERS roster.
TT sucks and needs to go after this season, as a matter of fact don’t even hire a GM. Let’s see what Staley got, for a 1st year and 1st time nfl head coach, he seems promising. I would like to see him build a team from his vision.
Oh did I forget, TT sucks and needs to go back to be a team scout, can’t build a team, don’t have the nuts to bring in top quality players, can’t draft worth a shitte.
100% agree with everything you stated brother! Changes must be made otherwise we just waste another year of potential
Gordon was garbage and always was, he never learned how to read a block and never learned how to take care of the football. That's why he fizzled out in Denver and performed the same as he did as Charger. If he would have learned to read a block, he could have easily became one of the best, but he never learned this skill. That's why he was sooooo terrible in short yardage situations, never came through on those 3rd and shorts... and thanks to Lynn, instead of seeing Eckler for what he was, he always pushed the ball to Gordon, who time and time again failed the drive on 3rd&short. The place Eckler never seemed to fail.
Everything else was on point though :)
Why can't the chargers play like this even with Herbert?
Because Herbert isn't nearly as good as Rivers. Rivers careered this team for years, what happens late in game now most of the time... Herbert stalls out and doesn't move the ball. Rivers always moved the ball late in games, no matter what it took, he always found a way to make it close. I'm hope one day Herbert can be clutch, for now, he's just someone who can make good throws here and there, but not when it's needed game after game. I still have high hopes for Herbert though, he's just not even close to Rivers level of skill... yet *crosses fingers*
We could have kept Uchenna cheap and Justin Jackson cheap.
We lose every time you post these plz stop
That was a huge false start
Poor Philip Rivers didn’t win a championship cause chargers organization sucks balls. Also ladanian Tomlinson didn’t win one also Antonio Gates. To many names who wasted all their years with the chargers to not win 1 championship sad.
It was a false start but what most dont know is that on the previous play the Steelers got a no call when they jumped offsides. Refs gave it back to us, we just so happen to score a TD too. 😉
As a huge chargers fan I don’t give a shit what Phillip Rivers did for 1 game there are to many to count that he threw he was a shit QB and am so happy to see how Herbert is showing up
You clearly are not a Charger fan or don't understand football well, Rivers is one of the best ever, couldn't be farther from the truth that "he was a shit QB". He careered the Chargers for 14 years without a single O-Line to protect him that was even better than top 5 worst in the NFL. They never even attempted to get him protection up front throughout his 14 years as a starter. And yet there was never a game that wasn't within reach with him on the field... with Herbert it seems that even a 27 points lead isn't enough as he'll just stall out drive after drive until the other team catches up... is this all on him, no, but at least Rivers would move the ball down field late in games to give his team a chance.
I still have high hopes for Herbert as he's still young and can improve a lot, but so far, I've seen someone who can make some really great throws from time to time, but not someone who can carry his team, like Rivers did for 14 years (15 if you count Colts season).
The refs gave the chargers that gams
Dam can we get this justin jackson back please lol miss you rivers 😢
That was one crazy season
Secondary still getting scorched 😂 let’s hope Herbert and gang get it together and we don’t need a comeback
Chargers going to win Sunday night!
even though it will be 70% Steelers fans in Sofi
