this is a game developed based on the japanese/american pop culture they encountered during their childhood/teenage/young adult years (1980s~early2010s), part of them were imported part of them were pirated, that why some of the references are from really old shows,like imported 1960s/1970s shows, and that why chinese audience could understand those memes better than modern japanese/western audience
My guesses: Two guys with horns and street sign weapons are Mezu and Gozu (Ox and Horse demon guardians of the gate of hell for King Yama). Two macho men in shorts have the kanji for Lightning and Wind on them are Raijin and Fuujin (Japanese thunder god and wind god, which also sometimes are known as the Nioh). When they say "Romance" in this trailer, it means it in the Japanese sense of ロマン which is romanticism or a romanticized thing. Not romance as in couple romance.
You are the first person I have seen comment on the mirror car in this. I don't know if you saw the first trailer for this game but it had a shot of That pool so I am starting to wonder just how many cultured references this game will have.

Based on my stereotypes, I can attest that this game is more grounded in Japanese history than "Assassin's Creed Shadowbreakers"
