Actually you know that helicopter technique what he did. Thats actually supposed to be zuko's signature move and hes done it twice before first one in kyoshi island and the other in zuko alone when he couldnt beat the earthbenders with his swordsmanship alone. That technique is also a knot to his voice actor who is a break dancer
I didn't know this. I guess him and Aang do have this in common as Aang performs this often. Later we see Tenzin perform it on stage VS Amon as well. It seems to be a dual element move.
Maybe he had a version of the move and refined it after seeing aang's technique. Air and fire share a lot of commonalities, like their breathing techniques to stay warm in artic conditions. There was also a couple of times in season 1 where aang copied ZUKO, mirroring his moves like in "Bato of the Water Tribe." Safe to say I think a lot of characters improve and transcend their element by adding in the techniques of others
@Wes Bradley-Taubner actually he is very talented the only thing is that in the start good and bad were war inside him thats why he was weak in the start but in the end good won the war inside him and he became alot more strong He is very talented and he is not an averageeeeee
@Wes Bradley-Taubner well a prodigy gets defined when the person is in his or her prime and we have never seen zuko or another character jn their prime Prime meaning atleast 30 years old cuz thats why your human body is at its peak in all aspects as far as I know So maybe he becomes one later on in his life Cuz zuko has lot of potential he just needs to train more and learn more about the other elements cuz learning about other elements gives the person a significant amount of edge against an opponent So if he is fight a water bender and if he has studied everything about water bending and water styles he would know exactly what to do so that gives an advantage by alot
Zuko was indeed above average in talent but Azula completely overshadowed him. Azula is one of the top 3 prodigies in the show and is the greatest firebending prodigy
Man that zukos break dancing move comes in clutch in the right moment and its such a pro level move like it defeated his opponent whenever he used it and he used it so many times in the show
I always noticed this he did every bending style in this fight made it even better that he used all other three styles and that he understood the other benders and learned from the other benders
Love the video. One thing- Azula challenges Zuko to the Agni Kai, not the other way around. Zuko is planning on fighting her with Katara, but once he sees how far gone she is, he agrees to it, wanting to protect Katara. This also shows just how far gone Azula is, because in Ba Sing Se, when Zuko challenges her she doesn’t even consider it before turning him down. This time she’s the one who challenges him, fueled by rage and hate, and having completely lost control. And it shows Zuko’s arc, willing to fight Azula alone to protect Katara.
I really hope for an earth avatar sequel. Since their was that whole korra journal about telling the next avatar that she’s sorry for destroying the avatar connection to the past lives
One thing I really love about avatar is it shows that benders who are willing to learn from other nations benders are so much better then others, I think Zuko is one of the most powerful benders mostly in part because of his time with team avatar
In the comics every time they fight it’s a draw because Zuko is calm instead of aggressive and learn natural fire bending Plus Zuko uses the agility of an air bender On ground and steadily like an earth bender And redirect energy like a water bender So with the four elements Zuko would have a funeral for Azula
okay so his uncle imparted knowledge about using inspiration and techniques from ALL four nations, to find harmony and balance within yourself, similar to how the avatar works. using this he developed some of his own firebending techniques. redirecting lighting is ofc, based on waterbending techniques. in the fight with azula he's found his inner peace, and he definitely used inspirations of all 4 nations and bending styles. the attention to details in this fight are actually amazing. the slight foot shift to make his stance more...firm. earthbending. using the wall of fire to protect himself, could be earth or airbending tbh, but id lean more to airbending in that instance. the next attack where he slams his fist down and generates that huge ball of fire, THAT seems more like earthbending. and then he swaps over to what seems more inspired by waterbending. ofc this is personal interpretation and i could be completely wrong XD but whats so incredible about this fight, is the fluidity with which he utilizes the different styles. the relative ease that he swaps from one nation's style to the next, the control he has over his own flame after so much inner turmoil. the fact this man LITERALLY OUTRAN LIGHTNING.
This all started maybe because when iron told him about studying the water benders with lightning he might have told him about other elements and their techniques
By definition, it is an anime because it’s in the style of anime. But fans of anime don’t like to view it as one because it wasn’t made in Japan, where the main “style” of anime originated from. Something about not mixing their peas with their rice. Kind of like native Chinese food not tasting the same as American made Chinese food. So really it depends who your asking and what their perception is.
I like how my friends say that Zuko would be demolished by katara but then I show then this video and they all changed their mind face it katara Stan's zuko is a better bender
In Ba Sing Se, after Iroh demonstrates why he’s called “the Dragon of the West”. Zuko fire bends with a water bending technique: raising both hands, palms down into a push. His fire then rises and flows ahead like a wave through the hallway giving him and iroh the chance to escape. And on Ember island, Zuko surprise attacks Aang using an air bending technique. As Aang is running away down a hallway, Zuko makes wide circular motions with his arms stretched out. His fire than circled into a cylinder that Zuko than pushed down the hallway into a horizontal, fire tornado.
The avatar cycle ended with Roku (a firebender) which then proceeded to Aang. So if Aang were to die, Zuko could not possibly be the next Avatar as the cycle would would begin with the subsequent element of air which is water.
@@hoodeediola5260 I realised that after commenting but The water avatar would have died of the average avatar age of death is 60 because of the age the rest seemed to die at it would have been an earth bender with 20 years left lmao

They weren't just any goons. They were part of the red lotus. So I would imagine they would get same level of training the masters in avatar like iroh, bumi got. Zaheer was just extraordinarily skilled. Flexible like ty Lee.
In terms of pure power Azula>>Zuko. But idgaf what other people say. Zuko has surpassed Azula in terms of skill. Not only did my mans learn from the original firebenders the dragons themselves but he also incorporates the other 3 styles of bending in his forms making him essentially whole just like Iroh taught him. Idk how with all that he still comes short to Azula who was just born a prodigy and never had to work a day in her life.
In power too... if you think about it, his chi was always blocked by inner turmoil, so he was always at a weakened state. As soon as he got over his emotional problems he became much more powerful
Zuko's final power and his lack of lightning mastery is another one of the choices that the creators made after the end of the show that I very much disagree with. Throughout the show we see that it isn't power the corrupts an individual (note that Anng is the most powerful charecter by default) but rather the lust for power that not only corrupts, but makes one weak in the end. I think after visiting the dragons, and losing his list for power that Zuko should have been the most powerful fire bender in several generations, giving him a separate color during the last agni kia, and a mastery of lightning. This humbleness along side the extreme power also would have assisted him greatly in showing his people who had been brain washed to respect power above all else due to their elemental affinity, how one can find power in humbleness and love over anything else.
Please, your underestimating Zuko lmao. He's not a prodigy at all, not a prodigy as much as azula or iroh yet he can close fight katara who is a waterbending prodigy.

Iroh probably learned about it from some air nomad book and taught it to Zuko
Yeah it’s truly amazing how he went from knowing only the basics to being calm and understanding all 4 elements and how to apply them to his bending
