Saw him play at Mr Toots Coffee House in Capitola in 1982 - I'd never heard of him before. Sat about 10 feet from him in a very informal setting. I was totally blown away.
Just like you i'd never heard of him before and i saw him playing in France in the 90's. I was so impressed that i asked if i could talk to him after the show. And he kindly receveid me backstage! We spent 10 minutes, my girlfriend and I, with him. And now i'm watching the pictures i made this evening. A great souvenir! But i didn't know he was dead. So sad...RIP. (sorry if my English is not perfect, but i'm french)
He was an instructor at the Puget Sound Guitar Workshop when I was there in 1985. I had no idea who he was either, but I learned a few really cool tricks from him. He was nicknamed “Bracka-Bracka Bob” by someone else on staff after a memorable performance he put on. I wanted to take my kids to a live show a few years back, and that’s when I found out he had passed away. What a loss…
About 10 years ago someone gave me a live CD of Bob's. No album name, no song names, just a burnt CD with his name on it. I still don't know what album it is, all I know is its one of my all time favourite albums. There can never be another like this truly great artist.
It's a huge loss and especially for the academic work he put into keeping alive the musical traditions of so many indigenous cultures around the world.
What was he up to back then? I think it’s pretty interesting that you can find pretty much only the latter half of his musical career online. Btw, if you’re interested I have four songs from his first (and very rare) album “Your Pal” on my channel.
Regardless of the accusations, this is an amazing song. "I'm not afraid to tell young people I'm scared about dying, I'm not afraid to tell old people I don't know enough about living...I just get up every morning, and all I can think to do is try to be kind." If that doesn't speak to you, you have no soul.
Johnny B. Good I'm glad you said accusations to me it was just a smear campaign an people nowadays will judge just on hearsay don't people believe in evidence and a conviction anymore.
@@adrianmoore8840 What, that's pure denial, the fact is Bob sadly was a child molester. Like lots of talented people are and we wish they weren't that but they are. This needs to be known fact especially if we want to continue to enjoy his music, we can't just deny his victims.
@@JBzle-ol6yc exactly, tuned down to B but same intervals of open D. He's using a mixture of major and minor pentatonic for the licks, the structure is not difficult to figure out but it takes a lot of polishing to sound similar to Mr Brozman.
Great musician, not a great person. I try to separate the art from the person, I was so digusted when I heard what he did. However his music is objectively amazing and I can enjoy it and learn from it. Is it any different to DJs still playing michael Jackson music? 🤔

At any professional level, few solo performers/musicians could exude this much groove and vibe.
Amazing!❤️
BEST MUSIC !!!!!!!
I AM SO FLASHED !!
YOU'RE ALIVE?!!!
Bravo!
Got the goosebumps
Death sure crept up on Bob Brozman.
And Bob Brozman crept up on little kids.

I see he listened to Tommy Johnson.
I'd love to learn this. Does anyone have any tunings etc? Guessing its open E on his baritone.
It's open D (same intervals as E) with the low string tuned to B on the Baritone national.
Sad to say he knows now..
where and when was this recorded?
he was the musician
similar to airport blues?
DOES NOT GET BETTER A very special player
Anyone know where to find the Tabs for this? I have been searching the net for a while.
A low open D (open B maybe)

He vibratos to annoy me.

sneaking suspicion that he musta slept with those guitars, assuming he ever slept.
Is everybody here just glossing over the fact he was accused of sexually molesting a minor??

@@333joemcMichael was innocent. The families came forward a long time ago
@Squidward_Tikiland My understanding was the allegations disappeared when they were settled out of court. Buying silence does not equal innocence.
