There used to be a restaurant on Bearskin Neck called Hannah Jumper. I'm so sad it closed. And when you walk to the very end of the neck, you are on the very tip of Cape Ann.
Rockport is Beautiful I used to work there on a company Cape Ann Tool co for Many years and me and my Wife used to oun Amelia’s Restaurant by Good harbor Beach know we are in North Carolina
Does anyone remember from the early to mid 1980s, downtown, a shop called Have A Heart? It was knickknacks, buttons, etc, all with a heart theme. Also, anyone remember Sisters? I think they sold some artwork, but mostly really nice stuffed animal things, maybe blankets? I think they used to have live mannequins also
If you go to Massachusetts, know that they don't like tourists. They are generally not friendly people....yes some are kind, but the majority are NOT. Their roads are not accommodating, i.e. there is hardly anywhere to pull off because EVERYWHERE there is "No Parking" "No Standing" "You Will Towed" "Electronic Surveillance" etc. Halibut State Park? I drove all the way up there after reading good Google reviews only to have the parking machine tell me I had to pay $20 MORE to park if I had an out-of-state license plate. I said "Screw you!" and left. I only wish Conservative, God-fearing decent folks could take back this state from the Communists who own it now.
Wandering American: Did you ever stop to think that maybe we are not "accommodating" because we don't like being overrun by conservative "god fearing" people who think we're communists? (We have hundreds of beautiful, reasonably priced "accommodations" btw -- which technically would make us very "accommodating") Perhaps it would help to study some American history & learn about the Bay State if you're so concerned with commies; Massachusetts figures prominently in the founding of the country and was extremely conservative both then and in many ways, still. And Remember: America was founded by people in search of separation of church & state -- freedom of religion AND freedom FROM religion... If you want conservative Christian tourism go to Texas, see if you can find the quaint harbors, vast beaches great seafood eclectic art galleries amazing scenery and history we have here in Rockport, Gloucester and Cape Ann (the "North Shore" -- the "South Shore" is gorgeous too!) Stay home, we don't need your money we divvy it all up for ourselves in true socialist fashion
@@hilakummins3304 Well you certainly have lived up to the reputation of people from Massachusetts being "Massholes" So conservatives are overrunning Massachusetts and you don't even want them to visit? Doesn't sound very liberal to me. Do me a favor. Do us all a favor. Stay in Massachusetts. You are far too smart and good a person to step down to a state like, say, Florida. I know EXACTLY what you are: A man hating woman who never voted for a Republican in your life. Massachusetts is full of them. Elizabeth Warren is your gal cause you relate to her in every way. I'm conservative and I left and people like you are the reason why.
@Don K idk about that I’ve lived here my whole life and the only ppl like that are the nasty rich ppl think they own the town, which is probably not even 5 percent of the ppl in Rockport

If you think that's pretty you should see the Channel Islands of Great Britain.
Rockport and the Cape Ann area is much nicer than CI. That said, I'll never understand why people feel the need to one-up things like this.
CNN. Go Home!
Rockport is really gross! Don’t go there!😀
