  • Exploring examples from the great composers in classical and modern music history to talk about simplicity and complexity, and the best approach to music composition.
As a contemporary composer, should you have a more modest discourse or use complexity to have an access to a wider palette of colours? How did composers like Mozart, Wagner, Debussy, Stravinsky and Pärt approach both of these concepts? Is there really one style that is better than the other? How does contemporary composers like Hans Zimmer, Philip Glass, but also contemporary metal bands like Polyphia or Animal as Leaders distinguish themselves from others? All questions answered (hopefully) in this video!

i always worry about this a lot while writing, c'est un peu stressant, je veux m'améliorer mais je veux pas gâcher ma musique aussi, mais en revanche ça risque d'être trop simple pour moi 💀

It’s a real struggle when learning about composing!
