Instead of making it so the Spartans can't move at all, instead make it so they can only move in one of two circumstances: 1. They are moving towards the closest spartan 2. They are already within a short distance of a spartan #1 allows the lines to reform if broken, and #2 allows them to move forward as a group, although it would be slow.
your could also make it so spartans can move just like solgers and sprint if theres no enough spartans near them to make a formation also add a shield bash mabe.
I had an interesting idea: Artillery Pros: - Can deal area damage - Easy to train, only needs to learn to fire at clusters of enemies and minimize friendly fire - Long range Cons: - Needs protection - Minimum firing range - Friendly fire Overall, I feel it would be balanced and add more strategic management of relative positions.
I think it would actually maybe make more sense if it was like a spiky barricade/ trap kind of thing, witch could maybe be placed by an other unit if you were to reuse it for your next battles? I think that could be interesting. anyways, keep doing what you do best !
Very entertaining content, keep up the good work! Would love to see medic making a comeback with more balance so here's a few ideas: - Rather than medic heals over a period of time, let them do a one-time heal, also decrease the rate of fire. - When they are healing, give them a healing animation and during the animation don't let them move. - Give them a range in which every single teammate in their range got healed for like 50 health. - They could overheal teammates up to 1.5 times their max health (with or without decay, whichever you think is better), so it's still useful to heal warrior.
To prevent the unwanted feature at 8:10 you can just check the rigidbody constraint y in the agents to prevent vertical movement, if you have a rigidbody. Or you could dampen the vertical movement, tho it could be resource intensive.
i think a cool idea would be that the last unit alive on a team gets some sort of boost to give them a fighting chance against a few enemy units, this battle boost can only happen for one team which is the first to have 1 guy left, also im new here
Hm, this might be a nice twist, however since it would be such a rare occurrence, I doubt the agents would learn about it. Most probably they wont even realize they instantly became stronger (since they are last alive)
What about a Juggernaut troop for a different gamemode? Its just one giant guy against a ton of normal guys, but the juggernaut has huge amounts of health and a powerful attack with an AOE. Idk if this is possible, but perhaps the juggernaut could have a weak point on his back that deals extra damage to him, and normal guys get more reward for hitting the weak point? And perhaps the juggernaut gets punished for letting his weak point get hit, so he tries his best to keep facing the normal guys?
There should be generals, 10 per 1000 soldiers, they lead groups of 100 soldiers to the frontlines, leading offensives against other armies. and maybe 2 commanders who give those generals commands (which the ai generals can choose to follow or choose to reject)
If Spartans are punished for blocking whilst another Spartan in front of them is already doing the same thing, they might remember the spear they are holding. And you could give the front line Spartans a reward for blocking while others are behind them, protecting their best buddy. Maybe even a reward for both of them when they land a kill could help encourage teamwork.
That's good, but please don't just turn units into historical soldiers : i really think it's better to create new and different units, new tactics and add new mechanics.
@@milesmcallister8542 Of course, Spartans have different mechanics than other units, but I wouldn't wish that over time, all units were pretty much the same, just with different looks and different names...

I just had an idea to add in the simulation. Vikings on a boat rowing on land 😂. One rows the boat and the other fights or attacks while on the boat. When the boat is destroyed, two of em will fight using an axe. Axe has a 40% chance to instantly decapitate a unit. Axe causes 1 bleeding damage each second that last for 5 secs. When a nearby unit see their ally gets decapitated they will either flee in fear or attack. Fleeing last for 2 secs
Great video! It was absolutely worth the wait! I think it would be cool to have a fast unit who can jump but only has 50 health or smth (maybe cav bc horse can jump ??) Also i think a guy with a rocket launcher who is slow has short range but does TONS of dmg would be rlly cool
A single trebuchet would probably annihilate the whole spartan line, lol. Glad we got the Spartans first for that reason. Would be cool if the Spartans could move and turn, but at like 10% speed or something.
I'm pretty sure that the Spartans actually put their best soldiers on the right side of formations, because there is no soldier to their left protecting them.
I suggest making a commander unit. It can show the location of an enemy unit to all friendly units therefor giving the ai a target to focus on. I would also increase the value of them to enemy units so they focus on them more if they come across them
I love ur content you deserve more subs. You should make a unit like a giant or a golem but not too many per army. And pls shoutout me on my birthday pls on the 17th this month🎉
Soldier type: Pikemen* -> slower than warrior, more hp, piercing attack with spear, damage reduction from front, weak spot in the back, can block only partial damage from musketeers. Intuition is such as being counter to warriors (if they do not use tactics to get behind them), but weaker against musketeers. *as a more balanced version of Spartan? :O
Idea: flag points Flag points can be set by a scout or a leader anywhere on the map as long as they are near. These can be "activated" or "deactivated" by the leader agent - activated flag points will reward agents for being near them - deactivated flag points do nothing Scout - fast agent, can set flag points near him as stated earlier, may have stealth if you plan to add that. Leader (commanders, kings etc. whatever you want to call them) - Like stated earlier, can activate flag points. Other suggestions: - Leaders can assign specific agents into a flag point. Ex: flag point A will only reward melee units like the knight and other units like the medic. flag point B will only reward ranged units like the muskateer. - Can assign flag points to only reward a specific number of units. Ex: flag point A will only reward 10 knights and 1 medic. this makes it so they will have to spread to other flag points to gain rewards. - Make the leader himself a mobile flagpoint that he can activate and deactivate when he has the resources for it, this allows him to let the other agents fight by themselves but still secure himself or guide armies whenever he wants. Edit: I will add more ideas in the reply section of this comment
More ideas: Flag points may disappear when they haven't been activated in a while. Perhaps the leader can "validate" (whatever it is called) them so that he can save them up for specific cirumstances like retreating? Punishment and reward Scouts will be punished when ally agents die in an activated flagpoint. this should make them only put flag points in beneficial areas. Perhaps they will be punished when a flag point they placed isn't validated by the leader. Same for leaders. They should get more punishment from ranged agents dying so that they can learn early that ranged units shouldn't be near a fight. This should make them only activate flagpoints and assign units in beneficial areas and situations.

Just make the spartans really slow instead of not moving at all. Also Spartans should take higher damage when attacked from behind or if another unit isn't behind them. It would make it more ballenced. This would probably stack.
