The Japanese Consulate in Vietnam has actively championed the preservation and promotion of this specific Japanese martial culture within the country.
This close working relationship is characterized by the Consulate's frequent invitations to its shibu to be involved in its activities. Otake Sensei’s demonstrations, which showcase the authentic and rigorous nature of the martial art, often see the active participation of diplomatic mission representatives, underscoring the art's cultural significance. Furthermore, recognizing the Shinbukan Dojo as a legitimate and high-quality representative of Japanese martial culture, the Consulate General consistently extends invitations to the Dojo to present the art at various official cultural exchange activities held in different provinces across Vietnam. These presentations serve as vital opportunities for the wider Vietnamese community to engage with a core aspect of Japanese heritage.
A recent and prominent example of this strong bond was observed during the 2024 celebration of His Majesty the Emperor's birthday. Shinbukan Dojo remains profoundly grateful for the enduring and unwavering commitment of the Japanese Diplomatic Mission. This consistent support is essential for the continued guidance, preservation, and accurate transmission of the martial tradition within Vietnam, ensuring its integrity for future generations.
