Freytag and Brücken were adorable on stage back then. It's nice to see the band were just as compelling live as in the studio. Why did they omit the synth flourish at the end? That's one of the best endings in music history!

This is ZTT stretching the mere 7 and a half songs that Propaganda wrote - plus 2 covers.... (I'm not counting Throbbing Gristles Discipline since that was never officially released) . Quite genius to earn a legacy that still lives on 40 years after having made that little!
I wish it was a little rougher, its a great version, I dont have the music theory words to express what I think is a little off, but there are some positive musical parts to it, that still sound nice, they need to be in a different, uh, key?

What's with this 'industrialised' version of the song? Also this girl singer is sort of sexy but her voice is not as good as the regular Duel singer. The regular singer is on drums here I think...?
It was the b-side of Duel - an alternative version. There's an awesome version on the Wishful Thinking album that combines the two into a single track.
It's not industrial, it's just harder edged and frankly, more German. There was a problem with the debut coming out at the time and the "side" album Wishful Thinking" (a remixed version for clubs) actually was available first, and I consequently had that first and fell in love with it. When I finally got the debut I found it... a little tame by comparison. I still prefer Wishful Thinking. It's one of my favorite records and I listen to it all the time.
@@malcg72 In interviews they told that at the very beginning, before Propaganda got famous, they made music by shouting words or sentences while drumming and playing march like music. I think this version of Duel displays some of those earlier ways.

this song got overplayed in France and it really made me hate it , probably a better version more rock
