If having an “escape” fund means she is looking or hoping for an escape, then that must mean having a fire extinguisher is the same as hoping for a fire or the fact that airlines have oxygen masks and life vests must mean that the airline is expecting or hoping for their planes to crash. Having something in case of an emergency is NOT the same as actively anticipating the emergency, it is being prepared just in case. If I was financially dependent on a husband and that financial stability could go away in an instant if he cheats on me or decides to leave me or worse, reveals abusive aspects of his personality that put me in a position to have to leave for my own safety then I would think it wise to have money set aside to help me rebuild. Having the money is not showing a lack of faith in the marriage, it is putting being practical over being emotional and recognizing that emotions can be fallible and that there has to be some sort of safety net if the union built on a foundation of emotions one day crumbles.

One day I went to the bank to open a savings account and discovered that I couldn't because of the red flag. She had taken "control" of the account so I couldn't take money out. I love cooking, baking, cleaning, and being able to care of people and give. That actually makes me so happy and it makes me happy to make others happy. I know everyone has their own views and some women don’t like that but I personally am not for all the feminist sh*t and don’t want to be put in the “I don’t need a man” category lol. Cuz I do and even if I can do it on my own I don’t wanna lol. Just like I know not all women want what I want so I’m not gunna put them in that category. Just because I can do it own my own doesn’t mean I want to ya know. Random explanation but we may not technically need deodorant but we need deodorant if that makes sense. And I may not technically need a man but I need a man, and I also know I’m not and never will be as physically strong as a man. Men and women balance each other out in ways and I like having a man to take care of my car issues I know nothing about and open jars my weak a** arms can’t and protect me, and to be able appreciate him.

He comes home with nothing but a pear for he and his wife. He unwraps it and sets it on the table and she says to him in italian, "what a lovely pear!" They then sit down to eat what she has prepared for them and he gives her a tender kiss. Reminds me of my granddads stories about how he and my grandmother used to regularly eat sardines and crackers when they were young bc they had no money. From having to pay thousands of dollars just for an ambulance ride, worst I have heard in favor of the exhorbitant costs for a ambulance is that it isn't a taxi, no it isn't taxis are way cheaper. Also an ambulance is supposed to get you to hospital and try and keep you alive for treatment. Has the best medical care in the world so it is worth paying for? You think? The US is 74th on mortality rate world wide, 49th for child mortality worse than some "3rd world countries", 38th on the health care index.
