wow i feel like i already see so much depth to their story line lol. the minute i saw that angie had the evil trait + the good friends bit with gwendolyn + super parent aspiration. this sounds like to me like a parent who puts all her anxieties, expectations and judgments on her child, super common with young moms and eldest daughters-i imagine angie thinks "you have it so good, i had it so much worse as a kid" and has this resentment towards her child and gwen, sweet girl, feels guilty and shameful and is constantly trying to be perfect for her mom. she feels indebted to her because her mom constantly tells her how much she has sacrificed, how much work she's done to put food on the table for her. angie has this idea in her mind that "mother knows best" and no one can tell her otherwise. not even holden, who i imagine as this sweet broken soul, a recovering alcoholic with his own childhood trauma-he doesn't say much to stop angie's treatment of gwendolyn but like you said, he tries to speak with his actions but that can only do so much when angie is such a volatile, strong presence in the household. i think they must have had a really sweet love story once-he came from nothing and this farm was her family business and they probably eloped in some romantic, rebellious frenzy against her families wishes. but bitterness, financial struggles, and unprocessed trauma has led them to live quite unhappy lives.

Great idea. I have been adding different stories in my game play that's out of my comfort zone. Its giving my family life.
Ooh, I'm imagining that the mom's "evil" trait comes in the form of being a control freak. She needs things done a certain way, but she's like manipulating people's feelings and just using mind tricks to get what she wants so, for a child like Gwen, it's not obvious yet what her mom is like. That's why their relationship still looks good on the surface right now.

You and Jenn are my absolute favourite Sims RUclipsrs. At nearly 27, my comfort is weekends in after a long week at work, playing my sims and watching you guys and get lost in your storytelling. I'm a storyteller with my own gameplay and you guys just inspire me. With my current household, I really wanted to focus on the gameplay and story, each generation has only one child. There's a backstory to this but ultimately I always find myself with big families but get caught up in taking care of the kids and trying to fit in storytelling but their days are repetitive of work and childcare. This current household is making me think outside of the box with events, memories and really putting the time into raising one child and then focusing on their potential. A sims gameplay with stories always fascinates me, and we're never too old to use our imagination. Much love from the UK and keep up the awesome content ❤️❤️

I loooove this! Ratboy Save is my #1 favorite save file and Strangerville is one of my favorite worlds 🙌🏾 It's so beautiful and orange and I love the breeze and views. I use cheats to get rid of the creepy stuff tho lol 😩

I also do farm life simulation in the Sims. It's always fun playing with my farmer household. They live next door to an upper class politician family who "gave" him the farm and I often visit them to take care of their livestock. I also play them sometimes though.

Cottage Living is literally a fav. I can't play a save without something farmy in it, even if its just adding a cow lol I really liked this video and I feel like Gwen is going to grow up so mature for her age but also may resent her mother as well. This was refreshing

You can go into the cell phone panel and call the Ministry of Labor, then you can write your own Job Title and Description. This is perfect for stay-at-home parents and self-employed workers.
In this case, the parents would be "Farmer" and "Farmer's Wife". 😀

It's from dogsill's upside down cc pack. But I'm not sure if the child hair comes in the pack or if it's a conversion, because I only remember having that hair for older sims.

Maybe something happened to the mother and that’s why she’s evil. And I feel like the dad is gloomy because he wants to get close to his and he doesn’t know how. And maybe the dad also went through a rough childhood growing up.
